It would be nice if Latios and Latias could also Mega Evolve with a Mega Latias or Mega Latios in the party.
(Just to be clear, this would mean that Latios could Mega Evolve when there's a Latias or a Mega Latias in the party and visa versa) I have a Mega Latias and a (non-Mega) Latios and it's practically impossible to be able to find another Latias just so I can Mega Evolve my Latios. :/ Is there maybe a way of having my Latios Mega Evolve or a way of getting another Latias that I'm not aware of? Thanks. -------------------- |

Why don't you use a Soul Dew and hope to summon one? You can get it via exploration or Prize Points...

You can use a Soul Dew as stated, but you can also stalk the Safari Zone or buy a Legendary voucher to redeem for one. There's an exploration for the Soul Dew, too.

Well you CAN look for its egg description (since you already hatched one), activate the Summon Power, summon it again with the Soul Dew and try to claim it... although I advise you to only do this with a low amount of eggs (around 400) in the Lab, to maximize your chances of grabbing it.

The whole point of summoning is that you have to sit down and scan the Lab for the appropriate egg description.
Reason for edit: [MOD EDIT] That was a bit too close to egg identification for my taste.

I actually agree with the OP, it's kind of frustrating to find out you can't use mega pokemon for certain things. The lati thing is one (I think rayquaza also has it), and another is when for instance an exploration asks for say a lucario you can't use a mega lucario. Because of how megas work in the games it feels natural they'd function as the same pokemon while on gpx they're not, which isn't really made clear until you find out you can't use your mega in place of its non-mega pokemon.

I can see why they wouldn't want to implement this. It's been announced that they're working on being able to turn Megas back into their original forms, so it would end up being an unnecessary addition to have Megas count as not.
