the little icon that says when an egg is ready to hatch. everyone loves it
but ready to evolve pokemon dont have that kind of love. basically, maybe an up arrow or something to show that you have a pokemon in the party ready to evolve. |

Eh, I guess you could... not that they stop evolving if you go to 100 and it's like a Bulbasaur...

This has been suggested a million times, and it's always been turned down due to there being enough clutter in the header as it is. Besides, some people like to keep unevolved forms in their party, so the notification would get annoying after a while unless there were a way to toggle it on and off.

There's already a notification.
When the Options is bolded, it means the pokemon is ready to evolve. Otherwise, the word isn't bold. So yeah, something like that isn´t needed. This post has been edited by Shadow X: Sep 2 2010, 10:42 AM -------------------- |

using that logic, the egg header isnt needed. thanks for assuming i have no idea how to evolve or im stupid
and yes, maybe make it so you can toggle it on and off fro individual pokemon This post has been edited by InnocenceExorcist: Sep 2 2010, 10:50 AM |

Either way why would you drop a Shiny? Now with Shiny Icons, it's hard to NOT notice the different colours As said this has been suggested many times before. Some people have pokemon in party that they don't want to evolve so the thing telling them they could evolve a pokemon would always be there and not tell you when a pokemon that you wanted to evolve could evolve. Its really not hard to check your party to see if any you want to evolve can yet. -------------------- |

wait wut. that quote lol
and to counter that, just have a toggle on each individual pokemon for on or off. saying you can just check makes the egg header useless, as its easy to tell when an egg can hatch. |

Besides, one of the reasons the hatched egg notification is there is because no one can click your eggs when it is ready to hatch until you yourself hatch it. However, with hatched pokes, people can still click on your pokemon no matter what level so there's no real rush. Also http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=41342 -------------------- |

its still a good idea. i am sure people would still like to know when pokemon are ready to evolve.
just because some people whine about extra notifications, it wouldnt be hard to turn it off for certain pokemon |

wait wut. that quote lol and to counter that, just have a toggle on each individual pokemon for on or off. saying you can just check makes the egg header useless, as its easy to tell when an egg can hatch. so, lets say I have 100 pokemon i do not want to evolve (gym pokemon, shinies etc) I have to go to each on individually so i can have them not notify me they are ready to evolve? No thanks, if I want to see if a pokemon is ready to evolve I just go to my PC, select 'Ready to evolve' then search...it highlights all pokemon ready to evolve just fine without clustering the header. -------------------- |

yes, but the PC search checks both PC and party pokemon, so a notification isn't needed (between that and the bolded bar should be more than enough to tell you that your pokemon is ready to evolve). Besides I don't like the thought of going through every pokemon I want not to evolve so if I do put them on my party the 'they are ready to evolve' pops up.

well, not everyone uses the pc to see if their party pokemon can evolve. plus, if you are doing the badge stuff, it isnt hard or a waste of time to turn off that notification for that certain pokemon

I'd much rather have a global toggle for this option than needing to do it for individual Pokemon; a check box on the Settings page that says "Show Notification Icon for Evolution" would be far more appealing than having to go to each individual Pokemon, since its likely something like that would revert to a default "on" or "off", much like the checkmark found underneath the slider arrows on the Poketch.

Thats a heck of a lot of pokemon go get through -------------------- |

that would be good, but the thing about that is that some people would have a combo of evolvers/non-evolvers.
@Yuniko: its gonna take them a bit to level 100, so it isnt a big deal. people will click back on them while you do the evolution thing, then you can start This post has been edited by InnocenceExorcist: Sep 2 2010, 12:56 PM |

that would be good, but the thing about that is that some people would have a combo of evolvers/non-evolvers. If it would work anything like the egg hatching notifier, that wouldn't matter; the arrow (or whatever) could appear any time any Pokemon is ready to evolve. -------------------- [align=center]add me for daily clicks [735/1000]

ya, but there are the people that need badge achievements, and i could see it being annoying if not needed
it would have to be like the egg notification, but not working like it. you have to hatch the egg, but not evolve the pokemon |
