Do you need the National Pokedex to trade with someone to get a Fire Red/Leaf Green or Sapphire/Ruby Pokemon?
Do you think there would be wifi in a bookstore like Barnes and Nobles or Borders? Do you think Walmart or Game Stop have those USB things to get wifi? -------------------- |

First off, thanks for the response.
It's for Platinum. I over heard people talking and they said something about having to pay for wifi in Starbucks. And I tried to connect to wifi at a friend's home who has wireless internet and I couldn't connect. Does the old DS have the capability to connect to wifi? I'm not so good at fixing technical difficulties. -------------------- |

I'm not so good at fixing technical difficulties. well first off your probably going to need your friends WEP key(or maybe its something else but still) you see there are three types technically(i dont know the third thoughu lol) theres an open router which pretty much has no firewall protecting it and doesnt need any key to access it(its indicated by an open lock next to the name of the router when you search for an access point). there is a locked one which you need a password for. (its shown by a locked lock) and the third is a grey lock but you'll have to look that one up and for the paying at starbucks, im pretty sure that when you buy something, at the bottom of the reciept there is the key to access their internet and you can buy the wifi USB connector at wallmart, target, and probably any game store that gets newer stuff finally, you should be able to trade pokes from the national dex on any game to yours. it just wont register it in the dex (unless its in the sinnoh dex). although for the D/P/Pt games, it would have to be from another one of the fourth generation.you can only transfer pokes from third generation to the fourth through pal park after youve beaten the elite four -------------------- Shiny/Tradeables+EV trained (click to show ) EGGs CLICK HERE (click to show ) Some links: ICANHAS CHEEZBURGER FUNNY PICS |

Are the locks supposed to be opened on the DS main menu or on the Platinum game thing?
Sorry about all the questions. I recently got my game and I'm not a DS user. :P -------------------- |

Glad i found this topic i had the exact same questions. So if i have an open router at home all i need is to connect my usb cable that i bought to the DS and try the wifi.
I think my main problem is that there are no players in my area who play it -------------------- |
