As the crowd grew impatient with the late start of the match, a referee appeared on the stage, looking at Justin and the surrounding crowd. He explained what was going on, making various hand and arm gestures.
"The opponent has not some forth to the stage. As per League rules, he has forfeited the match. The victory by default goes to Justin Smart." The audience applauded the decision, it was still quite a bit subdued. Most came to see a pokemon battle and were left unsatisfied. Still, a victory was a victory. That meant it was time for the unsavory task ahead of them. Pan looked up to Justin as he made his way off his spot on the arena. "You sure about this?" she asked him. The researcher wanted to reconfirm that he was dead set on carrying out this plan.
