Jotho has all the cutest Pokčmon, and it wasn't starting to just get weird yet...
It introduced real color (and with that; Shinies) breeding (and Pichu!) a day and night system and it has the cutest starters. Kanto is nr 2. For being the original, and it too has quite a few adorable Pokčmon. Nr 3 is Sinnoh. For where as Hoenn removed the day and night system its back again now. I also prefer the Sinnoh Starters to Hoenn. Hoenn is my least favourite. They took out the day-night system, introduced planting of berries which is just a drag (its a wee bit better in Gen. IV. A bit) and most of the legendaries are just eyw! It also introduced Nosepass. (True as far as Pokčmon go they just kept getting weirder even in Gen IV, but it was still and improvement to Gen III, which kind of felt as a set-back from Gen II) --------------------  Uxie  Anitarig  Daisuke  Weasley  Sceptile  Rika  |

I chose Johto. G/S/C were the first...games I ever played. I enjoyed them thoroughly. I like all of the starters (Cyndaquil the best) and most of the Pokemon that originated from that region. (Tyranitar, Espeon, to name a few) and it contains all of my favorite legends (Entei, Lugia). Lance's theme is my favorite champion theme of them all. It gave me an adrenaline rush and actually sounded like I was facing a champion. (unlike steven's which sounded like they were rushing me to finish the d*** battle.) (or cynthia's which just wasn't epic.). (I hum Lance's theme to myself sometimes when I'm bored  )ahem..*cough*. I like the rest of the soundtrack. I loved the several additions it brought. -day & night! -breeding -two regions -shinies! (shiny charizard's silver! o.O) -baby pokemans (specifically pichu) -happiness evos (much more difficult to get happy pokes in silver.  )-trade & hold evos (and they didn't overdo it like they did in D/P) -2 new types (dark & steel) ....I have a tendency to write a lot.. -------------------- A huuuuge fan of Gwanom from the Zelda CDI series. |

I'm torn between Johto and Kanto. But mainly I'd go with Johto because pokes like Steelix and Scizor originated there.

Sinnoh is my favorite. Most solid plot of any Pokemon game, best characters (FLINT. VOLKNER. LOOKER. CYRUS.), best evil team (blowing up a lake and leaving Magikarp to die + trying to destroy the world and create a new one + leader wants to be GOD? yes, plz.), and I don't care what anyone says, I think it has the best Pokemon. Great anime saga too, with implied character death and memorable appearances by awesome characters. Also, best rival ever. ADHD-boy kicks ass. <3
Hoenn is awesome too; love the plot, Steven Stone is freaking awesome, and the Pokemon are great. Nosepass is 100% amazing. Johto is overrated as hell, lol. It wasn't that cool. People forget about half the Pokemon from it, Team Rocket kind of sucks, the region itself is pretty boring, the Gym Leaders had virtually no personality... I'm pretty sick of Kanto, but it's not that bad. More fun than Johto, at least. -------------------- |

Hoenn for sure. Fortree wins out of all the city/towns. Sinnoh is a close second because of the focus of evolution. I love all kinds evolution. --------------------   |

For me it's a tie between Johto and Hoenn. There's many things that I like about both of them, so I can't pick between them.
Johto has the best plotline (16 gyms is amazing for me), and I liked the layout of the towns and stuff. Many of my favorite Pokemon come from Johto (like Ho-oh, Lugia, Feraligatr, Entei... the list goes on), and my favorite Gym Leader (Falkner) comes from here... but one of the things I liked the most about Johto was your rival. I loved his jackass personality, and I loved it especially when I would kick his butt in a battle >:D Johto also had some of the best music in my opinion (like the Tin Tower, Champion Battle, Rival Battle, Kanto/Johto Gym Leader, hell, even the Wild Pokemon theme). Johto was - and still is - the best. But I also love Hoenn. Sure, the transition from GCS to RSE was a tough one, but I managed to get use to it. I liked the towns and the gym leaders. Hoenn is the only region who's starters I all love a lot, and I really, really, adore Brendan for some reason (even though he isn't as good as Silver). And to add to the list, I love Team Magma, mainly because I thought that their goals would actually benefit the world more than Team Aqua's. Many of my favorite Pokemon also came from Hoenn...  Ruby was also the first Pokemon game I managed to beat by myself, since my aunt would usually play my file when I got stuck.Meh, yeah, I love both those regions equally. Kanto comes in 3rd for nostalgia and your rival, then Sinnoh in last place... even though Dialga, my absolute favorite Pokemon, came from there.
