Ahh... yes, I remember it now...
Pokemon FireRed was my first game back then... And I believe I wiped out the E4 mainly with my epic Venusaur and his Frenzy Plant. I miss that Venusaur. My data's corrupted now. Sniff. Sad to say... I can't... WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I MISS MAH VENUSAUR!!! I MISS MY FIRERED!!! Okay, I'm afraid I'm getting too off-topic here. -------------------- No one crosses with... Oh my god, of course I remember it. In Firered I nearly lost against Lance and his stupid Aerodactyl. >c And then having to battle Gary was just awful because I was most certainly not prepared. My Charizard had a real problem against him. It was back in the day when I only bothered to train with my starter so everyone else on my team was basically useless. XD
Sapphire was a little bit easier, the only real challenge was with Steven. I remember I was so confident when I went in to challenge him since the others were relatively easy to beat with just my Swampart, but when he sent out his Skarmory and I got scared. It was a really close battle since I think it was his Armaldo that took out Swampart so I ended up having to use Kyogre. I still won in the end though but I haven't reset that save file even to this day because I can't bring myself to do it. Too many memories. ;n; |

First game I played was Crystal, but I was too young to understand. I'd beat the game, restart, beat it, restart, repeat. I got FireRed, and then Emerald. I couldn't beat either, which made me question my younger self. But then, literally a year ago, I restarted Emerald. I was sitting in my room, talking to my friend, using my new Blaziken and Breloom to completely wipe the EF. I got to the champion, shocked. I rarely made it by the ice girl.
I think I hurt my friend's ears I was so freaking excited. I finally beat it! Finally, at age 14, I beat the Elite Four. A week later I trained my Pokemon on FireRed (I neglect all except my starter u.u) FINALLY beat it, and ran out as quick as I could to go and catch Mewtwo. My heart skipped beats when I finally beat Gary (who I only fought once and failed). D I'm a fail at the games BTW. -------------------- Pictures and links! (click to show ) Hypno! I was on a road trip with my family, and my brother was helping me ALOT! I was really young, and I didn't quite know the type match-ups XD
But I beat it, and I literally shoved the Gameboy in my brothers face saying "I did it!!! I did it!!" |

I remember fighting them...
Before the E4, my faithful starter pokemon was really all I used. So by the time I came across the E4, I had a level 82 (give or take a few levels) Torterra (named Leafy) and the rest were severely underleveled. Up to that, Leafy had only fainted three times. Ever. Once facing Commander Jupiter in the Valley Windworks (as a Grotle, I think), once against Candice, and some other insignificant time. Naturally I got beaten by Flint. I beat him the second or third time, though. I also remember freaking out when one of Cynthia's pokemon used Embargo. But I won in the end. And there was much rejoicing. Then I lost my copy of Diamond sometime in 2007 or 2008 and still haven't found it. -------------------- |

It was on my pokemon Sapphire.
I already had Silver and Crystal at the time, but I was a total idiot in my pokemon youth and only trained my starters in the games. My older sister and I were sitting together in the backseat of our car, while my mom and dad were up front. We were either going to or driving back from a visit at the relatives'. It was raining to, and I was watching my sister battle the champion, Steven, doing the honor of fighting the Elite for me since I sucked. And boom, ah, the sweet the success of kicking his butt. I think the last pokemon we fought against him was his Cradily. From then on, I began my chase to catch Latias. However, my sister was desperate to restart the game so she could play her own game. Shame that I agreed to let her do so. This post has been edited by BazookaNeon: Dec 25 2011, 07:20 PM -------------------- |

It was Emerald for me. I caught Rayquaza with a master ball, and the Elite Four made way with ease.
...Then I went to the Gen 4 games and wondered why Dialga couldn't kick the E4 to the curb like Rayquaza.... Hahaha. -------------------- Pane (click to show ) Percentages and Truths (click to show ) |

I was on a school field trip to Disney World. Everyone was asleep and when I finally beat Wallace, I screamed at the top of my lungs. "YES!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I got a detention the following school day for scaring everyone.

Wow...this goes a ways back. My first game was pokemon silver, and i was so happy when i first beat them. Lance was kinda a pain in tha behind tho. I think i was 7 or 8 and when i won i almost risked breaking my gbc because i threw it on my outside concrete steps. But it worked fine then lol. Ahhhh...the good old days. I have a question for all of u. Why is it that everything that we do back then always feels better than the things that we do now? Beats me.

The first time I beat the E4 was in Diamond. Like a lot of people in this thread, I only trained my starter, an Emploleon named Icy. I swept the Elite 4, but I started having trouble with Cynthia's Milotic. Even though my Empoleon was 20 levels higher, my attacks were shrugged off. When I did take down Milotic, I had to use the last PP of Surf on a Spiritomb at half health.
Piplup is my favorite starter for this reason. |
