Help. I just started gpx a few days ago and I just bought the shiny hunter tech literal minutes ago. I went to sign up for the site wide shiny hunt and I thought you could sign up for all three burmy, so I clicked the first one and signed up. Then I COULDNT sign up for all three (I think??) and went to cancel the first and pick the steel type because if I can only have 1, I like that one best. BUT now it says I cant sign up for ANY of them?! What have I done? Can I submit a ticket or something because im really upset I disqualified myself by doing something that wasnt clear to me. I didnt know how shiny hunts even work and now I cant participate. I even got some burmy so I will be able to breed them and was very excited. The help pages on shiny hunts don't say anything about this either.

I cant find a place to submit a ticket in the help section so I thought I would come here :c

When you cancel a site-wide shiny hunt, I think you have to wait for a week until you can enter it again, unfortunately....
Don't give up though, you will still be able to hatch some eggs and maybe get some shinies ^^

You should be able to restart normal Shiny Hunts after you cancelled them, so maybe you can restart your Site Wide Shiny Hunt too. If you can, it should be below you active Shiny Hunts. If you have to wait a week that means you will miss the first two days of the SWSH, which shouldn't stop you from completing it. Especially since it's two days longer this time
After you finished your first hunt for the SWSH, you can start others for either the same, or the rest of the pokémon on that SWSH.

ARGH! I wish I'd come back and read this thread before signing up for the SWSH ><; I didn't realize you could only sign up to hunt one Pokemon at a time....but now I'm scared to cancel my incorrect hunt...

Can someone confirm if you cancel your SWSH can you restart a new one? And after how long?

As it says on the Shine Recorder page:

If you wish to cancel a hunt, you may do so, but it'll also prevent you from starting a hunt for this Pokémon for the next week.

This applies for the entirety of the hunt, meaning if you were to cancel your hunt now, you couldn't hunt for any of the three eligible Pokemon for the week.
