Well... It's been 3 years seen I've played Pokemon Cards. My little cousin wanted me to play so I was forced. I kinda liked it, so now I made a deck of my own.
If there are any card you think I should ask, I'll ask my little cousin to trade. Alright - I decided the name would be "Blowing Steam" because if I won a tournament or something (LOL like that would happen) Pokemon; 24 1x Team Aqua's Kyogre 3x Squirtle 2x Wartortle (1 is Dark Wartortle) 1x Blastoise 3x Team Galactic's Gyarados (IDK why they made Gyarados a Basic.) 1x Palkia 1x Team Galactic's Lvl X Palkia 3x Torchic 2x Combusken 2x Blaziken 3x Vulpix 2x Ninetails Energies; 30 15x Fire Energy 13x Water Energy 2x Double Colorless Energy Trainers; 6 1x Gold Berry 1x Energy Retrieval 1x Pokeball 1x Berry 1x Ecogym Thanks for looking! I just really need help. I read all over about good structures and using opposites. Please Rate!!! -------------------- |

Seems like a pretty decent deck. Just 2 things. First off, you only have 5 trainers. Second, maybe you should cut down a little bit on energies. 30 is good for people just starting, but 28 or 26 should be fine. Even 24 will work.

Actually most tournament decks nowadays run roughly 12 Energy, 30 Trainers, and 18 Pokemon; the Trainers let them get at the Pokemon and Energy they need, so it ends up being who can get their proper Trainers faster.
BUT I am assuming this is just for casual play, and in that case I'd say it's a pretty decent deck. But I'd recommend taking out those Double Colorless. I've never found them really useful. Also, you have a lot of evolutionary lines, whereas generally speaking having just one Stage 2 evo is plenty, and any more than that clogs up a deck really fast. (At least from experience...) Water-types tend to save Energy, whereas Fire-types tend to burn it; take out the Blaziken line I'd say, and add in some more Trainers that way. -------------------- |

Great deck, but you have a lv. X Palkia G, but a basic palkia. You will need a basic Palkia G if you want to use its lv. X.
And if you can get your hands on a water and fire arceus, 2 lv. X. Arceus, 2 beginning doors and an ultimate zone, that would be a good boost to your deck. This post has been edited by Starceuscream: Jan 8 2010, 09:27 PM -------------------- |
