Back then, hoarding eggs was a huge problem. Not now... at least, in fact, hoarding today is encouraged. Why...? Because there's too many eggs and not all are getting it. And if you don't grab them, they'll be gone forever.

So let me ask you guys? Why do you like hoarding a specific Pokemon egg? Is it to get a female version? A Shiny? Or you just want to show to everyone you have the most number of this specific Pokemon? All of your stories will unfold here.

Well, I recall grabbing a lot of Rilou eggs when they started becoming common. The reason was I wanted a female one so I could breed it with my existing male Rilou.

Also, there was a time of me grabbing Zigzagoon eggs. The reason behind that was for a massive Zigzagoon army and to get myself a shiny, but I put on hold that goal until I got all the rares that I wanted/could ever find. xD;

I should try hoarding Electrikes next after this. ;x Oh btw, I only hoard common Pokemon, for the obvious fact that they're common and there's too many of it.

not hoarding anything...yet, think of trying to hoard some miltank to get a shiny( its so nice looking) but i dont know what i would do with a ranch of miltank.

I'm trying for a shiny Ponyta right now, but generally it's not so much reasonable as much as I see a Mudkip egg, a Riolu, or x egg, and even though I have Swampert, Lucario, etc, I'm soo tempted to click it and keep it. I'm not even sure why, and I've held myself back before, but I might start collecting. C: Why not, with eggs being deleted? :C

There's many Pokémon I only like as one gender. Mostly Pokés I only like as female. I often get 1 Egg per species, but I have mostly bad luck with these Pokés. It first happened with Buneary. I got one, and it was male. >> Then I started hoarding and got 2. Both came out female. Go figure. XD

Then the same story with Budew. First was male, so I opened space and got 3 Budew Eggs. 1 Male, 2 Female. Fair enough. I wanted to hoard Pinsir until I got a male one, but they're awfully rare, so I kept the female I got.

Now I want to hoard a few to get female Chikorita to breed with my male one, and also many Misdreavus, Swablu and Mawile, so I can get females. I'm really touchy with that, ain't I? XP

I kind of want a Ralts army. Well, I want its evolutions, because Gallade and Gardevoir are my favourite Pokemon, and their shiny colours are pretty too... but I think I'll leave it until I have more Pokemon in my dex. Might get a Ralts egg soon, though. I really want a male Ralts.

I also have collected every egg but 32. Not counting event eggs. And still no shiny. annoying. But if I must hoard to get my first I will.

Ha ha... funnily enough, I have two Shiny Sentret on my Platinum, but that doesn't really count here, does it? XD

Anyway... I'm nabbing a collection of Eevee and its evolutions. In the process, I'm hoping to get each of them in the gender I feel fits them first as well as hopefully gaining a Shiny. I only need one more female Eevee, until I have all of the evolutions for the first time.

Not exactly on-topic, but I ended up nabbing an Absol Egg from the Shelter. First one ever, and it turned out Shiny. XD Either way, had I seen the Shiny form via the game or in someone else's party, I would have started collecting those, because that Shiny form is just too awesome to not want.

Oh, I love pokemon hoards, or pokemon "army". I've actually been beening to see what kind of hoards people have been collecting... I've seen Skitty, Magikarp, Glameow, Charmanders... sometimes for shinies, sometimes because it's their favorite pokemon?

Personally, I'd like to start hoarding my favorite pokemon, Snubbull, soon. They're common enough, and they're awesome. I have a half a box of snubbull on my diamond game too. There's just very few non legendary/novelty pokemon left I want too (there's 10, and they're all pretty rare), and I want adopt my 6 shelter eggs a day. Also, I kind of want my first shiny to be something I like. =P And I don't feel like collecting just any ol' egg right now... not that there are many of those left either... yeah, I have too many pokemon. I shoudl probably start evolving soon, but I like hatching.
