As much as I loved HGSS, I just don't like the majority second gen Pokémon enough to like Johto as much as I do the other gens.

Hoenn. The pokemon are cool, but I've never personally liked the area. And the two evil teams are just kinda meh..

Hoenn. I actually like quite a few of the pokemon (though third gen pokemon are the ones I'm most likely to forget) and some of the land is rather nice. However the amount of water is ridiculous and I wasn't fond of the gym leaders. The evil teams were also the stupidest and most boring of any region.
I don't know if it's really fair for me to say any of this though. I stopped playing after Crystal came out and I didn't pick it up again until a couple years ago when I borrowed my brother's Leaf Green. I later borrowed Ruby but I could never make myself finish it because it bored me so much so I may be slightly biased. Johto, however, is my ultimate region and part of me is sad that people put it down so much. So far the Johto games have been the only one I've been an active player for when they came out (both times actually) since I got into the series a few years after the originals came out and Platinum had been out for months before I even picked up Diamond. --------------------   |

Hoenn. I dunno. I tried to play emerald once, but it took too long to even get the starter and everything seems kinda bland and boring. I skipped gen 3 because of that and didn't play until i got LG.

All I have to say is Johto. Team Rocket was trying to bring back Giovanni, but failed miserably. And the Gen 2 Pokemon (excluding some of the evolutions) aren't as good. That's probably why Generation 2 is the weakest of all.

I'd say Hoenn. I just thought it wasn't very thought out. The only thing I really like about Hoenn is that it has the best Water type ever, Mudkip/Swampert.
