How many types of Pokémon are there in total?
At the time of writing, there are over 600 Pokémon in total. 493 from the original games, plus alternate forms for certain ones (Unown, Rotom, Shellos, etc.), and a handful of Novelty Pokémon we have created ourselves.

also a glitch happened to me a few days ago, i had a thread for it but with the update it was moved to the archive thing, a pichu came out of the underground and gave me 2 thunder stones (i didn't have it before or find it on that page) would it be ok to sell them or would that be exploiting a glitch?

As for your Thunderstones, looking at the database table, there was a great deal of time between when both of them were created, so you must have obtained on around the site and just not noticed it. So no, there isn't a "glitch" at all.

How to obtain items
There are inummerable ways of obtaining items around the site. This will be broken down by item categories.

It should be "innumerable" instead.

(I did send the fix, though. At first, I was kicking myself for having missed it.)

Pokémon eggs that have been in the Shelter for at least 36 hours, and hatched Pok&ecute;mon that have been in the Shelter for 72 hours are completely deleted from the site every half hour starting at 12:21 AM.

The special character is not showing up only in that specific spot.

From the FAQs tab:

Professor Cypress is not an actual person. It is a site-controlled account and as such perform feats not normally possible.

Should be 'performs' since the subject ('it') is singular.

What is the mystery counter?

The mystery counter's specific function is undisclosed. However, if it reaches an invisible, predetermined figure before reset known as "breaking the mystery counter", there will be a day of bonuses to follow after reset. Increased maturity, shelter picks, and point increases are given. There may be added bonuses in addition to that.

(Or whatever is the right thing to say)

Also, I just noticed: Flame Orbs, and Focus Slashes are only found randomly around the Site, randomly when hatching eggs, and in the Underground.
