Name: Christopher Rosario

Age: 18

Hometown: Goldenrod City

Appearance: Chris stands at around 5'10'' and has a relatively average figure for a 18 year old, a body with minimal fat and a very slight amount of muscle, leading him to have a rather relatively low weight of 130lbs, leading to a BMI which transfers as being dangerously close to underweight. This weight not because he constantly works out however, prove enough is the fact that his muscles aren’t bulging or what have you, he simply makes sure he keeps his diet in check, leading him to very rarely eat any form of fast-food whatsoever. His naturally straight hair is the same extremely dark shade of brown as his eyes, and is relatively long for a boy, reaching about shoulder length.

As far as clothing goes, Chris’ choice of clothing is simply explained, “anything black that fits is good, but make sure it doesn’t fit too tight”, though this does not simply mean that he will only wear black clothes however, that would just be stupid to do in hot weather. Typically, he is seen wearing a plain black, zip up cotton jacket, which is never zipped up that always hangs just over his waist, a t-shirt of his favourite band visible between the gap created by the open zip, and a simple, stainless steel chain-like necklace around his neck, which so happens to hang over the top of his shirt. Along with all of his clothing, while Chris’ shirt does indeed fit well to him, it hardly clings to his body, meaning that while most material comes into contact with his body, there is the odd volume of clothing taken up by nothing but air.

He also wears a simple pair of denim jeans which are the typical sort of blue colour you would associate with jeans, both legs showing equal signs of wear (namely faded shins and slightly torn ends around his ankle) since they have been in Chris’ possession for a little over two years. The jeans are held around Chris’ relatively small waist by a simple black leather belt buckled together by a simple stainless-steel buckle, which also functions as the teens way of transporting Pokeballs as it has clips built into them for the iconic spheres to attach to. Due to the way both his shirt and jacket hang, Chris’ waist is completely hidden from view, meaning that the aforementioned belt is never seen unless he reaches for his Pokeballs, which often leads to his jacket and shirt to be lifted slightly and reveal the belt. As far as footwear is concerned, plain black cotton socks are mandatory, along with any old pair of white pair of trainers. The trainers that Chris is currently ordaining have a completely white main body, along with black soles and laces, hardly anything fancy.

Personality: While it is true that the general census of society is “Long hairs are troublesome/weird” when it comes to social stereotypes, there are always those that prove to be the exception to these biased images. After spending no more than a few minutes with Chris however, one will soon realise that he is most definitely not one of these exceptions, in fact, he’s more than probably one of the most extreme cases of this stereotype. Put simply, Chris lives to see, or more preferably cause, havoc, though this is always in a non-physical sense since it leaves no physical evidence of his meddling. Also, he believes that being able to stir up trouble through solely verbal means is much more challenging than using brute force, which leads him to feel much more satisfied when he does indeed manage to cause some form of calamity. So, if you had to summarise Chris’ personality in a few words, it would more than likely be “Devilishly Meddlesome, though not in a malicious way”.

Despite the fact that this long-haired teenage may refrain from causing physical pain as much as he possibly can, that doesn’t mean he has a problem causing it, he simply prefers to use non-violent methods when ether he possibly can due to the greater satisfaction they leave him with. This “way of life” if you will transfers massively into Chris’ Pokémon battling style, in the way that he prefers to have his Pokémon to use moves that create hazardous afflictions to enemy Pokémon rather than directly attack them, moves such as Hypnosis and Toxic being just two examples of his massive preferences, while the likes of Tackle and Flamethrower he will only use as a last resort, or he may even not use them at all and opt to lose, rather than “stoop so low” and use “have to those kind of moves”.

While not attempting to use his indisputably deranged mind to bring other people’s mind to an equally ‘unstable’ state, Chris finds quite a large amount of enjoyment can be had in simply doing “nothing”, though his definition of “nothing” does defer a substantial amount from what you would find from a dictionary, but what else would you expect from someone such as him? Basically, “nothing” entails anything that Chris feels takes next to no mental effort, such as walking along a path aimlessly, simply lying down and staring at the sky, or even sleeping to kill some time. His preferred way of doing “nothing” however is indisputably listening to music through his phone, due to the teen’s great appreciation for a tune that he finds “interesting”, or in other words, music which he deems requires talent to play. This contains mainly music from the metal genre, since a large amount of the genre’s songs are built around rather intricate riffs which are played at relatively fast speeds, making them relatively difficult to play, or in other words, they require to talent to both play and write in the first place.

If a situation arises where Chris is forced into conversation with someone, though this rarely happens since he is normally the one to instigate conversations himself (for all the wrong reasons of course), you will find that he often listens to what the person has to say to the fullest extent to his abilities. Obviously, this is by no means some form of common courtesy; it is merely so that the teen can gather as much information from the person which would in turn give him a higher chance of being able to manipulate them in whatever way he sees fit. However, should he deem that the person is either too stupid to manipulate without feeling degraded himself, or too intelligent to fall for his “methods”, Chris will simply attempt to have a normal conversation with said person, perhaps even befriend the more intelligent ones, after all, it most certainly helps to be on the good side of intelligent people.

Biography: Ever since birth Chris had always been a bit of an odd case, though admittedly, when he was younger it wasn’t really to that much of an extent. His upbringing was relatively standard for a child of his intelligence, go to a school during the day where he would no doubt be bullied both verbally and physically for being so academically adept, then return home to a family who did nothing but praise him for the same intelligence that earned him the title of “Nerd” at school. So then, what was intelligence exactly, a good or a bad thing? As smart as Chris was, he simply could not figure out this problem.

Well, until he figured out the strength a good brain could possess.

Once reaching the age of 10, Chris discovered that his school took part in a “Pokémon Trainer Development Programme”, basically, it was also a battling school. Like any 10 year old, Chris was oh so interested in Pokémon, especially the battling side of it. All people ever did was talk about great trainers in his school, as well as state the desires they had to reach the position of Pokémon Champion of their region, which was in this case Johto. Anyway, at the first battling session Chris was pitted against one of the children who without a doubt bullied him the most at school, this child being the stereotypical stupid-brawler, aptly armed with a Machop, while Chris was armed with no more than a Zubat that couldn’t even perform any physical attacks whatsoever, not even a simple bite.

As one sided as this battle looked on paper, the end result simply could not have been further. While the Zubat had no moves which portrayed brute strength, it was most certainly capable of battling, especially in Chris’ hands. After a rather lethal combination of a Supersonic, followed by a Haze to obscure the Machop’s vision, the enemy Pokémon was left hopeless as it swung around aimlessly in it’s confused state, eventually clobbering itself unconscious without having layed a single blow on Chris’ Zubat, giving the young trainer a flawless victory in his first ever battle. It was after this victory that Chris realised that true strength was not found in brute strength, but the rather the intelligence commanding the strength, meaning that even the strongest of individuals were capable of being taken down by more intelligent opposition.

Unfortunately for the young boy however, this realisation could not have affected his personality in a more negative way. Rather than simply using his intelligence in Pokémon battles, he often found himself using his own intelligence to get revenge on the bullies who had made his life a living hell for so long, using basic trails of logic to come to conclusions that would make even adults break down into some form of depressive state, the subject of which often being the “truth behind the futility of existence”. However, this didn’t just stop at bullies, the feeling Chris obtained from twisting these people’s minds was too good for it to only occur when he met a bully. Soon enough other students, teachers, even his own parents became potential candidates for Chris’ “Radical thinking”, which often reaped other rewards than mere satisfaction, such as belated bed times and additional time watching TV.

Needless to say, Chris didn’t make too many friends this way, leading to him being even more isolated than a simple nerd. That said having rather prominent Acne until from the ages of 13 to 17 didn’t particularly help either. The only kind of friendship Chris really had was in the form of the Pokémon which he caught after finding an unused Pokeball simply lying on the streets of Golden Rod at the age of 13, a small Male Nidoran which he named “Agony”, due to the pain being poisoned would cause any adversaries. Not long after catching Agony, Chris affirmed that he was to be a Pokémon trainer, much like other kids his age, though his battling-style would be different than the average Joe, much more different. Rather than mindlessly assault enemies with a barrage of powerful attacks while praying a blow would hit, he would instead render his enemies powerless with non-direct, but equally devastating attacks, leaving them to rot no matter how physically strong they may be.

A couple of years later, after having obtained a few Pokeballs of his own, Chris proceeded to another Pokémon, having in his mind already the one which he wished to capture. Hoothoots were obviously abundant around Johto, their native region, but despite their common appearance, Chris hadn’t really seen that many trainers with them, much to his befuddlement. How on Earth could someone resist a Pokémon that could both fly AND use Hypnosis? Where people really that stupid? Either way, the Hoothoot was simply caught in an identical way to Agony, a simple “toss ball and capture Pokémon without resistance” scenario, the Pokémon caught as a result being named Daze after her ability to put enemies to sleep.

As the years continued to pass, Chris continued to drive the inhabitants of Goldenrod insane, the teenager managing to somehow fit in obtaining his driving license in no more than a few months into his rather hectic schedule of studying, Pokémon training, and driving people insane. Once the teen had this license, a form of Adult Identification, he felt that he was ready to simply get up and go on his travels to become a more impressive Pokémon trainer, though he would have to find a region better than this one to do it in, since everyone here was so god-damn stupid.

After spending no more than a few hours contemplating his decision, the eighteen year old decided he would head to the region known as Furoh, a region which he honestly hadn’t really heard too much about, despite his breadth of knowledge, this single fact being pretty much the sole reason he chose Furoh. The less he knew about the place, the more challenging it would be for him to prosper there, allowing him to test his intelligence to a greater extent. After all, as much as Chris wanted to become a good “Intelligent Trainer”, he also wanted to reach a higher level of general intelligence than he currently possessed.

With no more than a simple “Bye” to his parents, who simply looked to each other in confusion after their only child walked out through the front door of their house, Chris set off to the nearby Goldenrod Train-Station, using the available transport to reach Saffron City in Kanto, then heading due South to Vermilion City where he would board the S.S. Anne, taking the boat straight to the region of Furoh, where he made landfall at Petropolis, the regions sprawling metropolis, the first town he would visit in this massive, unfamiliar region.

Starting Pokémon:

Agony - Level 10 - nidoran m.gif

Moves: Leer, Peck, Focus Energy, Double Kick

Background Info: Chris’ first Pokémon, and easily his current strongest in the physical sense, even though his battling style means that the Poison Pin Pokémon never gets a chance to show this. Like all Nidoran, Agony’s horn possesses a rather potent poison, often used as his major form of attack. Unfortunately however, Agony’s current move-pool requires for him to actually be attacked by an opponent for them actually to be poisoned (via the ability Poison Point), and since Poisoning isn’t guaranteed to occur, this means that the little Pokémon occasionally ends up having to take quite a beating for it’s “purpose” to be complete, though he doesn’t seem to mind it. In all honesty, Agony prefers it this way, as the Male Nidorans are often thought to be not so tough from a defensive prospective, while the battle style he lives by allows him to prove otherwise.

Personality: As well as being keen to show off his defensive prowess, Agony is also keen to show off his all-round usefulness in battle, meaning he has no problems whatsoever in jumping in to assist Chris whenever he is needed. However, the Nidoran is no ruffian, he won’t pick fights when unnecessary, but he is hardly one to back down from a challenge. Considering that he was Chris’ first Pokémon as well, Agony also sees it as his duty to protect Chris from whatever dangers he may come across, meaning he is fiercely loyal to his human companion, prepared to do whatever he can to assist the biped.

Daze - Level 10 - Female hoothoot.gif

Moves: Peck, Growl, Foresight, Hypnosis

Background Info: Ah Hypnosis, one of the most admirable moves a Pokémon is capable of, and the initial reason why Deceit (or rather any old Hoothoot) was picked to be a member of Chris’ team. As far as picking Deceit inparticular is concerned, there is no real background story. Chris wanted a Pokémon who could use Hypnosis, and since Hoothoot’s are relatively abundant; Deciet was the first Pokémon he caught, simple.

Personality: Daze seems to have adopted Chris’ ways of “Communicating” with other creatures, finding that doing so often leads to rather amusing consequences, meaning that she does very much enjoy Chris' company. In that sense, she is probably the closer of the two Pokémon in Chris’ possession in terms of personality, though it is without question that Agony remains the most loyal.

Items: All of these are stored in a simple, jet black rucksack (with one exception) which contains a single main compartment, along with two side compartments and two elastic straps on the bottom to attach a sleeping bag.
Pokeballs X 6
A black covered ring-binder journal, along with a black “biro” pen stashed in the binder
A few shaving razors, along with shaving foam which has a Lime odour
A simple, entirely navy-blue sleeping bag
Full Heal X 10
Potion X 5
Super Potion X 2
A dark brown leather wallet containing a single Credit Card and a Driver’s License (The exception)

What is the biscuit's name? The biscuit’s name is Waldorf, is it not? Mind if I ask where the name comes from?

Other Notes: I'll add a sprite image to this later, once I have one, I just wanted to make sure the profile was allright.

His hoothoot has two different names, but other than that, it's good to go wink.gif.

Ah, that must have happened when I suddenly decided on that name change. I've changed it now, but I've also set both of Chris' Pokemon to level 10, considering he has had them both for a couple of years now.
