So you all remember that breeding contest that was like just last week, right? The one where you all had to shiny hunt one Pokemon, which turned out to be Swinub? I'm sure you all felt like you should've been able to choose your own Pokemon. I did. So I decided to do something about it. And this is the result: a free-for-all shiny hunt contest! The rules are simple, and will be explained in detail...right below this sentence.

The requirements are simple. You need a Shine Recorder with an open slot, and Pokedex data for whatever Pokemon you want to hunt for. The Pokemon you want to enter for this contest must have an egg that requires at least 5120 maturity to hatch, to prevent everyone from hunting Magikarp and making things unfair. You have one week to do this, and it will begin after the reset of Monday, July 5th. Any Pokemon hatched before this date will not count.

Sign-ups will last from now until reset on Sunday, July 4. To sign up, PM me the Pokemon you want to shiny hunt, but DO NOT submit your shiny hunt to the Shine Recorder yet. After this Monday's reset, you may begin your shiny hunt. This means if you have a shiny hunt that says you began on July 5 or earlier, you are automatically disqualified.

Oh, and once you PM me your hunt, you can't change it. More work for me.

It's more of a notify list that has limited room. For those that get on it they will be notified by DW breeders when they have extra eggs/DWs and drop them so that they may have a chance. The breeders are not obligated to get those users DWs though.

i have a ditto now. everything can be bred.

i take the novelty eggs i lay to check for genders i want and shinies, then put the hatched novelties in my extra box.

Also, any tips on how to breed effectively are appreciated. For example, do i put all the novelty eggs into my party, and then drop them? Or drop them straight from the daycare?

Kazz was correct on the rules.
Image codes are only allowed for breeding pairs and you are only
allowed to state when you get something if it's to cancel a request.
I wasn't around to see the posts before they were edited so I have

For me, accepting Dracowymsy requests as a normal novelty request works best. Or better; my Dracowymsy has given me more novelty eggs since Sunday than my Bulbasaur clones have given me in the 6 weeks I was breeding them. The problem with DW is, that not everyone has a Ditto. But if you do, breeding DW is no more difficult or tedious than any other request, so as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't have to be treated differently. But well, let the leadership of the group decide how to handle things.

I fail to see what you are arguing. She was just letting everyone know there would be a Missing No. in the shelter. She didnt HAVE to say anything at all. So why should she have to wait to drop it?

So the time they post it (ex: Dropping at :13) is fifteen minutes before the egg or pokemon appears in the shelter.

Temporarily changed my breeding pair to breed the remaining happiny I need for the Box of Bliss achievement (I def don't change it this often). Despite the change there's no real sense in taking me off the SC list since I'll be switching back as soon as I'm finished and the fact that I don't really officially accept requests but rather I just post drop times.
