It's a toss up between Fire-types, Fighting-types, and Bug-types.
In the past I was really obsessed with Ground-types, but it was mostly due to EQ STAB. Now I realize that, while I love having a Ground-type around, I love using Fire/Fighting/and Bug-types more. Not even really sure why... They're all just awesome in their own ways XD

Ice! I know it's not a good defensive type, but I really like it. Ghost would have to be second. Oddly though, I'm not very fond of Froslass. Bug types are growing on me with my little Yanma.

Flying and Dragon are my babies, closely followed by Fire. This is mostly because they end up being the fast, hard hitters. I'm definitely not much of a strategist. XD

That's tough for me - I tend to like Pokemon as individuals, not as a whole type. For example, I can say that I like the idea of the Dark type, but despise its moveset and alot of its Pokemon. Or, I could say that I like Bug type Pokemon, but never actually use them in battle.

So, no. I don't really have a favorite element. Gameplay-wise, I enjoy using Fighting and Ground types, but I don't find either of those elements particularly exciting.

Ever since the days of Pokemon Red and Blue, i've always chosen a fire type for a starter, maybe even a water type the next time around if i liked it. but overall, i'd say i like Fire Types the most.

Poison and Dark types are awesome. Poison has wicked effects and Dark doesn't have much in the attack area but it's defense is great and the Pokemon look awesome

Poison is my favourite type. While it might not have the most strengths, the ability to poison/badly poison an enemy is fantastic. Plus, some of my all-time favourites are Poison typed (Qwilfish, Swalot, Ivysaur).

Bug is a close second though. I get really impatient when leveling up Pokemon, so it's nice to have a type that levels up and evolved (usually) quickly. That, and I have this complex where I take things that everyone else thinks are weak, and make them beast. This could be said about the Bug type. I also enjoy the obscure things Bug type moves are good on (Psychic, Dark, Grass).

Electric is my third, for a similar reason that Poison types are my favourite- status effects. Electric types are also generally fast and hard-hitting, but not super fragile, which is nice too.

First type I regarded as favourite was Ghost, because ghosts seemed just invincible in the anime when I first saw them (and almost invincible in the games). Then they nerfed them to hell, and they became just like any other type. Still cool, not so powerful anymore.
Later on I learned to love Grass and Fire types. Grass types, because I like plants much more than most animals, and Fire types because of common "solar" analogy between the two types. Sun gives life (Grass types) but it can burn you as well (Fire).

Strangely enough, Chandelure evolution line is not my favourite, despite sharing two of my favourite types. Though I wish there were Fire/Grass (Smogon's Pyroak is awesome) and Grass/Ghost types (non-cactus scarecrow?).

I think my favorite type is Poison. I love all kinds of Pokémon and attacks, but for some reason, my favorites tend to be of the Poison-type (Arbok and Victreebel, just to name a couple).

I don't know what comes second, but I also really like Ice and Fire types.

I'm surprised I haven't posted in this topic yet.

I suppose my favorite types would have to be Electric and Psychic types. Starter-wise, my favorite types are Fire and Grass. Grass gets the mention for most number of favorites, while Fire is an overall awesome type and I generally pick it. Lately I haven't though because of the FireFighters. <__<

I prefer to use bug, grass, or ghost type pokemon. I enjoy every pokemon that fits into these three types. I always have had good experiences with battles will all of the types.
