So, um....yeah. What do you think of the good ol' PokéWalker?
I personally like it. I use it as a pedometer, and it's nice that you can get rare Pokémon and items in it too. Plus, at least your Pokémon'll get stronger in all the commotion, right? So...uh, what do you think? -------------------- |

I like the Pokewalker, it's kind of cool.
It'll come handy in the summer, when I like to wander around outside a lot. |

I agree. Come summer time, I'll be using it non-stop, 'cause currently I don't get to use it much.

I love it. It's the reason I even bought my Heart Gold version in the first place. I've always been a big fan of Tamagotchi but they get boring because if you raise them right they keep turning into the same retarded looking thing whereas with Pokemon, you have this awesome game to interact with your cool-looking monsters AND you can interact with your Pokemon through the Pokewalker! Plus it really helps with those Pokemon with happiness evolution but what I like most is the feature where you can earn rare items and hard to catch pokemon. It'll probably be pretty useful too when training higher level pokemon because you can just go on a run or something and then poof! another level! rather than sitting around hoping to fight some pokemon that'll make your level 90's EXP bar go up enough for you to notice a difference. It's nice to have an ability to interact with your pokemon in a different way. Really, I have so much fun with my pokewalker. XD

It kinda is like a Digivice and a Tamagachi put together added with a few things and made it pokemon-like.
EDIT: I really like it, though. This post has been edited by TTD: Apr 16 2010, 07:38 PM -------------------- Credits! (click to show ) Gym Badges and Frontier Symbols! (click to show ) If you like metal... (click to show ) |

I play tennis for school, so I always have my pokewalker with and get about 30,000 steps a day from practice. So I like going on and catching a bunch of random people on the pokerader =]

its eh.... the whole 10,000 steps for a flying pikachu annoyed me
I spent the entire weekend in DC and Virginia, over 50.000 steps, 1000 watts, and not 1 fling pikachu -------------------- |

I think it's a great idea. It encourages excercise sort of, and you get nice level-ups and can catch pokemon. It's cool.

I'll probably get less use from it during the summer since I hate summer, :P
But I just take it with me to work and I get about 8000 steps by the end of my shift, then I go home do what I have to do and I get about another 1000. on my days off I take it with me when I go to stores or places and junk. but yeah I really like it. It's also an impressive addition to a game like HG/SS since it makes you play your game without even really touching your DS and it encourages physical activities like walking, jogging, running, and shopping -------------------- |

I love it! It also clings amazingly to everything you attach it to, unlike regular crappy pedometers. =]

It is in some ways really nice. It gives you chances to catch rare pokemon and it is fun to wear it during gym (:P) i actually wear it on my gym shorts when i have to run a mile during gym.

I only use it to count my steps when I'm out and about.
The fact I get nice little item bonuses is nice though. It's not really needed though. -------------------- |

I like it but.... I hate the ad. "No! not my chikorita!" gets on your nerves.

I am a really big fan! Gotta agree with the irritation at catching the higher-step requirement Pokémon (particularly the freakin' Surfing and Flying Pikachus).
Does anyone have any tricks to bypassing the !, !, !! to get to !!! (at least get to !!)? Ugh. I'm so tired of having 10k+ steps and having to deal with the first or second single-! pokémon. Also, when I'm at my desk at work, I'll stick the 'walker onto my shoe somewhere and just tap my foot and also while driving. WORKS GREAT! Oh, and has anyone even HEARD of a Shiny coming from the Pokéwalker? This post has been edited by Pokemancer: Apr 22 2010, 04:24 PM -------------------- The Brave Are Few And The Road Is Long... |

I have to get one of these! They sound awesome, I do lots of walking so this should be useful. Where can you get them?

They come packaged with HeartGold and SoulSilver. AFAIK, they are not sold separately.
