I hatched a Pichu in the event and it hatched with a Cap Shop Voucher, and so I used it for a Hoenn cap Pikachu, and it said the egg would be in my party, but no egg showed up and the voucher disappeared from my inventory.
You don't get an egg, you get the item to use it on a Pikachu later. Check your inventory again and the cap should be there. I guess the "egg" part of the description is an oversight
Ah, thank you very much! I didn't even think of that even though I have gotten caps other ways lol. It's there and all is good. My bad!
