Hey there everyone reading. If you are on this then you are probably a huge fan of the Batman Arkham video game franchise like I am. Both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are two of my favorite games of all time. So as you can imagine I was immensely pleased to hear that the next game in the series was announced for release later this year. So I thought I would put down what I know so far, as well as a few things I think we might see, and then leave it open for you fellow Batfans to leave your opinions.

- Batman: Arkham Origins is current;y scheduled for an October 25th release, and is a prequel to both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City

- Original developers Rocksteady have announced that they are not developing this game. The dev team are in fact Warner Brothers Montreal, the team that made the Arkham City Port for the Wii U. Rocksteady is still rumored to be working on a stylized Silver Age prequel detailing Batman's first encounter with the Joker for 2014.

- The story follows a younger and more unrefined Batman as he faces many major supervillains for the first time.

- A major point of the story sees 8 assassins travelling to Gotham City to try and kill Batman, and collect the bounty placed on his head by Black Mask, who seems to be the main antagonist so far.

- One villain already confirmed is Deathstroke, who makes his debut appearance in a core Arkham game. (He has previously appeared in the Arkham City game for Ipad/phone)

- The game is reported to have a fully open Gotham City, including both the Slums that will eventually become Arkham City, and the classier New Gotham. Also rumored is the use of the Batwing as a form of fast travel.

- The new development team will be using many of the assets that Rocksteady has used in the past, including its customized Unreal engine so as to try and avoid any discrepancies in the aesthetic of the franchise. Eric Holmes, lead designer of games including The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Prototype, is heading up the project.

- There is also a game coming to both the 3DS and PS Vita, named as Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, taking place after the events of the console game

-One of the biggest mysteries to me right now is who these 8 assassins trying to kill Batman might be. I will make a list of possibilities based on what I know from DC Lore and try to come up with 8 possible names of who they might be:
- Deathstroke (Confirmed)
- Deadshot (Likely)
- Ra's/Talia Al Ghul (Likely)
- Chesire (Possible)
- Lobo (Possible, but Unlikely, more of a bounty hunter than assassin)
- Cassandra Cain (Possible, before she becomes Batgirl II)
- Prometheus (Possible)
- Sportsmaster/Copperhead (I'm grasping at straws now really, but they are known assassins)

- The possiblity of a GCPD who aren't used to Batman, and are perhaps more hostile towards him. Possible confrontations with a younger Jim Gordon or everyone's favorite cop from the 90's series, Harvey Bullock.

- Seeing villains in a different way (eg. What was Penguin like before that bottle got shoved in his eye, and what was Batman's first meeting with Catwoman like?)

- The possiblity of seeing other members of the Bat-Family, maybe Dick Grayson as Robin instead of Nightwing, or Barbara Gordon before she was Oracle, or even before BatGirl.

- Possible New villains debuting as well as old villains being reworked (I'm still waiting to see Firefly in one of these games)

- Since many smaller crimes and side-stries are also being done, I'm hoping to also see the game debut of the notorious Falcone Family, as well as some other gangs such as the Wonderland Gang, or the Royal Flush Gang.

I was really disappointed by this game... never gonna preorder a Batman Game ever again...

I really dont want to rip on this game... BUT:
- The game is basically the same as Asylum
- The story is lame
- The twist was really obvious from the start

Im sorry but I couldnt even get to finish this one... it really is just Arkham Asylum with some fresh paint spilled on it
