My skitty and wailord, both unrelated (both from the lab, but not directly from me, someone else caught them from the lab) refuse to breed. I was led to believe it was due to the level difference (40 to 1), so I leveled skitty, and now she's 28, and still no go.
Before someone asks, no, it's not the rare chance of having eggs thing, they have the statement that appears when two pokemon will never have eggs. At the moment in my daycare are my slime slugmas, as I'm going for pudding vat, but if you need a reference, the skitty is in my party, and wailord is in my evo box. Does anyone know why they won't breed? They are opposite gender, before someone asks. -------------------- |

How long did you leave them in the Daycare before switching the pair?

Unless it says "The two Pokémon are not interested in each other in the slightest", they will breed, even with the level difference you have. Are you sure they're not related?

How long did you leave them in the Daycare before switching the pair? Entire Day. And they are male and female. After a day passed, I decided that the fact that they give the "We won't produce eggs" statement as fact. The two Pokémon are not interested in each other in the slightest is what it says. EDIT: Just reput them in (Even though I did about 20 minutes ago...) and it's at hardly stand to look at each other... O_o Now just to wait for the egg.. Thanks for the help, even though it fixed itself on it's own somehow... -------------------- |

When I was breeding my Skitty and Wailord, I still had to leave them in there for a while before an egg was produced even though they were only 3 levels apart. I would still get them a bit closer to help your odds but you need to leave them in there for a while. Your chances improve the longer you leave them in there.
It takes more than a day for pokemon to start liking each other. I still say get the levels closer and leave them in longer. This post has been edited by Retrospect: Jul 21 2010, 06:56 PM -------------------- |
