Can Manaphy only mate with another Manaphy or can it mate with a certain egg group if it has any?

On Serebii it says it can only mate with Ditto but I don't think thats true, I believe it can mate with almost anything...(as long as it likes the other pokemon)

It can mate with any gendered pokemon in its egg group, iirc.

On GPX-plus it can breed with anything in its egg group but in the game it can only breed with Ditto (I tried breeding it to something else on Platinum and it didn't work)
