Just finished reading The Crucible by Arther Miller in class. In my opinion it was a great play and I loved it. We'll be reading A Streetcar named Desire next.

The last books I finished reading was my mom's copy of The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. It was okay, but the resolution needed work. In context, it should not have happened immediately. But oh well.

"Do androids dream of electric sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

I put off reading it for ages, even though I'm a fan pf PKD, because I thought Blade Runner sucked big time, and it's based on "Sheep?". But it turns out it was a very loose adaptation, and the book is deep, subtle, meaningful, scary, complex, moving and short - everything Blade Runner is not.

It also has a better title.

I <3 PKD. I recommend his books to anyone who likes intelligent, creative scifi with mindbogglingly clever premises. Even if they do tend to be turned into movies like "Total Recall" and "Paycheck".

Not a novel-type book but A Brief History of Time.
Last novel-ish one though, as I'm more of a sciency person, would have to be Pride and Prejudice.

Just finished re-reading A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin, the first in his A Song of Ice and Fire series. They're making the pilot for A Game of Thrones on HBO currently, so I'm re-reading the whole series.

Finished reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams for the fourth time a few weeks ago. Now I'm working on reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand... I'm gonna be occupied with this one for a while.
