GPXPlus says its offline because "An event Pokémon is presently being distributed, the site will be back shortly. Check the second post of the current monthly community thread for more information." What does that mean?

On mobile so I can't link it, but if you check the front page of the forums you'll see the Happy Tenth Anniversary Event thread. Today's surprise was an egg giveaway. The site went down so the staff could distribute it. It's down for longer than the other giveaways have been, but it'll be back soon!

It's been offline 15 minutes now. Does the distribution normally take this long, or is this egg so awesome it broke something?
