If so, share your stories here! I've only done 3 'lockes before: Y, which kind of ended in failure, White2, which I got bored of and discontinued, and a randomized Platinum file, which I also discontinued.
I had really bad luck with my Y version; half the encounters I got were weak against Water. So naturally, I was left with an Azumarill, Dunsparce, Marowak, and Scolipede against the E4 when all was said and done. And then I accidentally hit the power button on my system. And then I had to go through the E4 again, and nearly lost to AZ. -------------------- |

I've never done one before but they sound fun, I know my roommate does them sometimes though

I also tried to Nuzlocke a randomized version of Platinum, which I somehow got through. They're very interesting ways to play the game a different way.

I think I'm too impatient to do Nuzlocke runs, I hate grinding my levels up which sometimes feels like the only way you can win without losing Pokemon in a nuzlocke. Especially when it comes to the dreaded hax and crits.

It's funny because I was cleaning up the house today and came across some old pieces of paper that had the basic rules of a nuzlocke printed on it.
Almost tempted me to do a nuzlocke run of all main games. Might still try it soon. -------------------- Software engineer by day. Hermit writer by night. nothing is impossible chasing a super hero on the run |

My most recent Black/Black 2 Nuzlockes failed really early on. I swear these are the hardest games to run a Nuzlocke with. Moon has by far been the easiest and I'm doing a Wonderlocke.

I'm in the middle of a rather insane variant of Nuzlocke that I found on the Nuzlocke Forum. It's called a PunishmentLocke (or PunishLocke for short). You have a list of punishments that will activate throughout the run. These punishments can range from minor annoyances, like not being able to use Pokemarts, to absolute devastation. (Punishments 39 & 40 in the list that I'm using)
There are 2 ways to trigger a punishment. 1. A Pokemon dies 2. You get a badge Also, you get 2 "freebies", one from the start, and the other is Punishment #1. They don't stack and each punishment can only be rolled once, so if you get the Punishment freebie before using your starting one, tough luck. This was originally made to be done in HGSS; I'm just doing it in X as sort of a test run. Punishment list, if you're interested (click to show ) Most punishments wear off after the next gym (Although deaths via punishment remain in effect for the rest of the run) Punishment 6 also applies to the Speed-up button on an emulator. Also, punishment 42 originally allowed me to hack in a Master Ball if I'd received 8 or more punishments. I'm using a cartridge, so that's clearly not an option. |

I can see why they call it a "punishment"locke, geez. I hope you emerge victorious! -------------------- |

I'm currently working on a Nuzlocke run of Pokemon Moon. I have a pretty unique idea, too: I'm going to have it be narrated by the Rotomdex!

You know, I've always wanted to do one but I've never gotten around to it. Maybe I should.
