Appearance:
Nike has relatively short, purple hair. It reaches down to around her shoulders when worn loose, and it is habitually wavy. It’s a dark, near blue purple and Nike happens to be very proud of it. She often subjects it to partial dye jobs. Also, more often than not, Nike has earplugs in (her ears) of some sort of bright hue.

Nike has one, blue eye on the right side. Her left eye was lost in an accident many years ago and rather than getting a replacement glass eye, she decided to go for maximum cool factor and elected to wear an eye-patch instead. It's generally black, but she does have an assortment of other colors.

She has a fairly attractive face, other than the scar (unless you’re into that) that peeks out around her eye-patch. Full lips, a straight nose, regular sized ears and a nice chin, Nike will occasionally put on makeup to help accentuate these features. And, of course, an easy coming smile to round it off.

She stands in at around five foot seven and has a slim, tone body. Her skin is lightly tanned. Nike generally wears some sort of band t-shirt and then a light, loose jacket over it. At her waist she has a rather gaudy, rhinestone belt that her poke-balls can often be found snapped to. These pokeballs sometimes give the appearance of being bedazzled. A pair of jeans meet the belt and extend down to her canvas shoes. These have been highly stylized with marker and pen all over and also give off a look of bedazzledness. At her side hangs a satchel in which many things are kept.

Personality:

Nike is a very loud person. She almost always is speaking her mind and making sure that anyone even near by can hear just what she feels. Of course, this doesn’t stop her from being a pleasant, nice and friendly person. She always wants to know other people’s names and shares her own very easily. Sadly, Nike can get a bit touchy feel-y and can’t always tell when people don’t want her to be.

One of Nike’s favorite things to do is engage in the fierce competition that are Pokemon battles. Shouting and easily excited during one, she’s a very aggressive fighter that often takes risks that others might not. She’s all for attacks over buffs. When this blows up in her face, because sometimes it does, she’s always upset and angry. Fortunately, this rarely lasts that long before Nike’s back up and ready for more. Being upset is just too much of a waste of time.

Nike has a tendency to... sing along with the music when she has her music-tch in. Or, at least, that’s what she would call it. One of her past professors had described it as “a horrible screeching reminiscent of the last cries of a murkrow before fainting.” Really, Nike considers this a total exaggeration, but she’ll try not to be too loud most of the time. Well, when she remembers. Which happens occasionally. She’s really not all that great with any instrument she’s tried yet, either.

The one artistic thing she actually has something of a knack for is sketching. While no where near the professional level, Nike is better at it than most joesmoes. Someday, she’d like to do all the album art for the band she’ll be in. Because it’s totally going to happen. Speaking of which, that is probably Nike’s greatest ambition. To be a member of a band, somehow. Currently, she suspects it’ll be along the lines of being a manager and the whole art thing. She is okay with this, even if it isn’t her dream of being a rock star.

Biography:

Nike was born in the bustling metropolis of Petropolis. Having fairly successful parents (Mother a businesswoman, father an architect), she grew up in a fairly pleasant environment and benefited from a solid education. Early on, however, Nike grew absolutely enchanted with music. She would always have it playing in the house whenever she could and would often sing along. This was less than pleasing to her parents, but they decided to encourage her to practice anyway. Because that’s what good parents do!

When Nike was eight, she had a terribly unfortunate experience with a nest of combee. Accidentally disturbing their nest, she was swarmed by the little bug type Pokemon and one of them stung her the eye. A most painful experience, it left her blind in her left eye. It was at this age when she adopted her eyepatch.

She received her first Pokemon upon her tenth birthday. A young, playful Meowth, Nike was absolutely enchanted with him and named it Andrea, after Andrea Bocelli. And, of course, his caterwauling would join Nike’s voice and create an even more horrible cacophony of sound when they would listen to music together.

Rather than like most children, Nike choose not to go out on some crazy adventure upon the age of 10 or so and instead continued her schooling. And so she went, and spent little time actually training Andrea and much more time just playing with him. Eventually, Nike decided it was time to go to college!

Moving to Gigarte to attend The Greenwood Gigarte Music Consortium was quite the change in her life. She had gotten used to all the pollution and such that Petropolis had been full of. Gigarte? Not like that at all. But, in time, she became used to it and even started to like it a little. The air seemed much clearer and Andrea also seemed to like it more than Petropolis.

The actual attending of college was pretty easy for Nike. She'd always been a good student when she applied herself and she continued to do so at Greenwood. It took two years of class for Nike to finally decide that getting a major in actual singing was not the way to go (she was helped along on this decision by several kind, but earnest professors). She changed her focus to band managing and has ever since been looking for the perfect band. She totally thinks that Stellar Graveyard would be the best name ever, after taking an astronomy class.

Once, while on the way home from Gigarte for winter break, Nike came across a Misdreavus near the outskirts of Lenolia. Finding it to actually be quite pretty and fairly awesome, she took Andrea into battle for the very first time. In doing so, Nike accomplished two things. She discovered that battling was way fun, and she performed her first capture. She was hooked, instantly.

Nike finished up her final semester in college and then set off on the road. She had two goals in mind. One, make the greatest band ever. Two? Train up Andrea, Ella, and whatever other awesome Pokemon she’d catch.
