I want to trade with someone with my Pokemon Pearl game, with my Nintendo DS Lite, who lives faraway. How do I go about doing this?

First you need to get their friend code and they need yours. Once you've given each other your friend codes, you need to go to the Wifi part of the Pokémon Center. I haven't played Pearl in a while but I presume it's at the bottom of the Pokémon Center?

Once you're both in there you go up to the person standing there (make sure one of you does this) and you can select to trade, battle etc. If you want to turn voice chat off press X before talking to the person
