Sorry if there's another thread like this, who here plays any instruments and/or is in band?
I play the clarinet, and I'm in the school concert band, though I want to learn the trumpet somtime. Or the saxophone.
EDIT: Crap, there's already a topic. I gotta learn to look more.
I used to play the flute. I miss it.;_;
I play the clarinet and Alto Clarinet. I'm not playing this year though. I switched out for advanced chorus.
Not in band, but i can play the piano
I play guitar and keyboard-based instruments - although kinda rusty with keyboards by now. ^^;
I used to play a violin, and was a member of a friend's band before I moved to Bremen.
I have no talent and barely any patience for instruments.
I did take piano lessons, I can (sorta) play the ocarina, and someday hope to play the guitar. Just gotta try.
I'll move this and merge this with the thread in the music section. It's an iffy case; the other one is really old in a somewhat dead forum so I'll just go with this.
EDIT: I'm locking the older one. It's not worth merging it.
Used to Play Piano. Currently play guitar.
Play guitar, starting drums soon hopefully
Rhythm guitar in a band called = Bella Of The Postal
When I was younger I played flute and keyboard today I don't have enough time for it.
I took piano lessons before but I can't get myself to find enough time to practice for it.. I love listening to music with the piano in it though. I wish I could play other instruments like the violin, cello, guitar, and an erhu.
Hm, in the near future I will be learning trumpet (music major friends have benefits) but for now I'm in colorguard which is technically part of band. :P
Ooh! I play the alto sax. =] I can play the piano once somebody points out middle C, and I'm wanting to learn how to play guitar.
My band is wicked lucky. Our concert is next week. The composer of our three pieces is actually coming to conduct two of our songs! O=
lol i play the piano really well, and ive played the guitar for a while.
for piano, i had this really annoying teacher, although she was probably the best there is(she could here a classical song, know what it is, and play it prefectly.). seriously, she was like the best, but i switched out for another one.
you should make this a pole(like the last one) to see what the current majority of members play instruments and what instruments they are(make sure to make it multiple choice)
I wished I played the drums...
i love my pennywhistle
I used to play the violin and piano, sadly I haven't touched either in years.
I play Piano, and have for a pretty long time. I can kind of play guitar and bass. I want to play Trumpet among many, many other instruments.
I play the Tenor saxophone, and somehow, I naturally got the hang of it with no Musical Expirience before.
I can play the drums, I have not in about a year.
I Play the guitar and the drums..... well, I'm still improving but i would like to play something like a violin or flute. They appeal to me. But i'd say they'd be quite hard to learn, Right?
Em, Band. Sort of. lol, same people, about 50 different names. playing around with the idea.
I played piano for like, eight years then quit for four and now I play again. Sort of wish I hadn't quit 'cause now I'm rusty on certain things, but it was what I really wanted to do at the time and it's pretty easy to pick up again.
I play the flute, piano, drums + percussion...the recorder (lol), harmonica...what else...
i play the drums
i once tried to get a band together but only me
and this other lad could play anything so we disbanded
i use to play th trumpet. i rocked at it but i hated it.
I can play the African drums. Used to play the tin whistle, but then I gave up on attending lessons.
I played the flute for half a semester. The only song I could play is Mary had a Little Lamb. I think I might have liked it more and wanted to actually play if I was able to take it at my own pace and wasn't forced into stuff that I might have enjoyed it.
I play a bunch of instruments...flute, clarinet, piano, violin, guitar, xylophone, and drums.
I play the violin.
Thats where "Suzuki" Came from ^^
I play the electric guitar. A Schecter Damien-6, to be exact. I'm not in a band, though.
I play guitar, bass, and alto saxophone. I am alright at drums, and can also fiddle around a bit on flute and clarinet without it sounding terrible
Oh yeah, I can play the cowbell too.
Violin, but I have to give it up at the end of the month because we can't afford it anymore. ;A;
I used to play the recorder and the piano, but I gave up on those. My parents wanted me to play the flute, but I didn't want to.
I play the violin.
I Play The Saxophone Made 3rd Chair Wind Ensemble This Year (9th Grade, Very Uncommmon)
Were Taking 3 Trips And School Has Even Started Yet
I play the clarinet, great instrument, I'vr played it for about 7 or 8 years already. ^^
I don't play anything. In middle school I used to play the clarinet though...
I'm going to high school and I'm playing in the drum line. All the upperclassmen are VERY hyper.
I'm not in band (we don't even have Band in schools here), but I can play the piano.
i used to play the flute, but somehow lost it. But now I'm learning to play the lovely piano.
i play the clarinet.
i want to switch to bassoon but my parents say im too short and puny.
I play flute and I love it. I tried guitar but it hurt my fingers and I don't like it. Piano is haard.
I'm reteaching myself to play guitar, and I wanna play piano but I'll get to that later, does singing count cuz I do that too
I play guitar, clarinet, base clarinet, and piccolo. Not in band though.
I used to play the violin - until the E string snapped and the peg holding the G string fell off. I'm too lazy to get it fixed...
I'm also slowly in the process of learning to play the piano.
Claaaarinet. Concert band. Alto sax and bassoon for abit, too. I so miss band. ;n;
I play guitar, recorder, keyboard, trumpet, the bells, and drums.
I like farting with my armpitt. If you do it right, you can make a tune.
LOL @eagleblackbelt X3
I've wanted forever to play piano. Instead of actually learning how to learn to play, I've learned one song at a time for about three songs. XD Not as productive.
Clairnet rules! I played it for 4 years then I got my braces on which made it harder. I was going to learn trombone with my friend but the orthodontist said no.
I play Clarinet and Alto Sax!
I sing (my voicebox is the instrument) and play the flute, and before I left school I was a member of lots of choirs, a flute choir and a woodwind band. Hopefully I'll be able to join more music groups at University. Oh, and I also have an electric guitar I'm teaching myself to play - progress is very slow.
I CAN'T play them because my parents don't think I can keep the interest alive. Geez...
I want to learn the guitar and the piano though... and maybe the violin.
I play the bass.....and......the flute.....
In school I plated the clarinet, the bass clarinet, sax, and baritone.
I've also dabbled with piano and guitar.
Piano for 8-9 years, guitar for 2. I quit guitar two years ago, but I still know how to play from both notes and tabs. I'm getting pretty bored with the piano too so I think I might just stop taking lessons.
Har i used to play the flute! i hate it now...
Can't quite remember if I answered here or not. O_o;
I used to play flute- not anymore- but I can play guitar and drums to a certain extent. If only I owned my own drum set... I'd be all set for life.
I dont play any instrumental, but if i could pick one i would pick the piano.
Heard so many good songs played with a piano.
All I do is sing..
I play piano ^^ Been playing since elementary school.
In middle school I played viola, but I dropped out of orchestra when I went to high school. Kinda glad I did...but it was fun while it lasted.
I play the piano and know enough chords on the guitar to play a few simple songs. The recorder, too, if that counts.
I also play the bagpipes. ..anyone else? XD
I play the Clarinet, in high school, as a freshman, but life is good
-snatches sister's flute-
I can play the Flute too!
And I can play a piano like a five year old!
Not anymore.
In elementary school I played the "drums." We never actually had any drums....just sticks and the floor. How misleading to call it the drum ensemble especially since I really wanted a drum set when I was young.
A year later I played the recorder but that was required.
I have a keyboard in my room I like to play but haven't played anything on it in a while. I never had lessons. Just played by ear.
I play the flute and saxophone but I also know how to play the bass guitar and trumpet :p
I'm gonna pin this thread, to avoid repeats.
Also, I used to be last chair trumpet. The only thing I could play well was the Song of Time from Legend of Zelda. I can also play Saria's Song and the Song of Storms on piano. I also play a pretty mean kazoo
I play guitar, but I almost feel bad about mentioning it because it's so overrated. But I'll mention it anyway because I've been playing since I was 4 years old. I also played the clarinet in elementary school, and I could play the Star Wars theme and some of the music from Pirates of the Caribbean. That's about it though.
i play clarinet too at my school
I used to play trumpet for two years in middle school, and though I haven't really played in a long time, I often pick my trumpet up and I remember enough of the musical terms and notes to be able to read sheet music fairly easily. I've been trying to teach myself piano, but it's so hard! My mind just can't comprehend using two hands at once.
I've been learning guitar. :D It's terribly fun, though I can't say I'm any good at it yet.
I play the violin in the school's Orchestra and play a little guitar here and there.
sprite tells all!
and I try to get trombone 1 because I like the high notes!
Hmmm...well, I can play the clarinet, or any clarinet-like instrument. (Bass, contrabass, Eb, etc.) I also know how to play some flute, and a small amount of guitar. Though I've been wanting to learn the trombone, trumpet, and saxophone for some time...
My true passion, however, is in piano-playing. I fell in love with it ever since my band teacher recommended it to me. I'm still rubbish at it, but I'm making some progress.
Fairly long list to a degree...
-Korean Drums
-Korean Zither
-Korean Flute
-Cello
-Violin
-Viola
-Piano
-Concert Grand Harp
-Celtic Harp
I absolutely loved playing the harp and hope that I can play it again someday. Current circumstances prevent me from being able to. *sigh*
I play the tenor-saxophone. And I used to play the clarinett and flute. But that's about it...
I love playing music from Pirates of the Carribean and Lord of the Rings!
Flute, keyboard, and eventually the drums.
I play the flute in a marching band, too. AHS!
I play the trumpet, and I'm currently teaching myself how to play the piano. Also, I know how to play other brass instruments like the Euphonium if I ever needed to, and I can play a little bit of guitar and drums. I would like to be able to play the violin or harp, although I would need lessons to learn how to play them.
i started playing acoustic guitar when i was 10
alot of my family members listen to Heavy Metal (and they arent white =O...lol)
then i got into electric guitar at age 11 and studied from day to night all the greats and my favorite guitarist Zakk Wylde
then time passed, still played guitar, the most difficult technique on guitar that i could do was sweep arpeggios and basically arpeggio notes with legato
then i learned to play drums, i would mostly play motorhead, (old) metallica, megadeth, and mainly SLAYER! cause its fun and a good work out on drums.
and then ever since 06' ive been playing bass cause its badass, want me to prove you wrong? check out Billy Sheehan, Robert Trujillo Geddy Lee and Geezer Butler
and a year ago i learned to mess with the keyboards its awesome
and 5 months ago i started taking lesson from my friends uncle on how to use the turntables
btw, yes i still play all those instruments
ill post pictures of my instruments

I Started playing Alto Saxophone in 6th grade. I still do.
i used to be able to play a bunch of instruments, but ive fallen out of practice. to date, i play guitar, bass, drums and piano.
I play the clarinet, me and my best friend do. I am in the middle school band. I love playing the clarinet and I practice for 2 hours or more every day I am in 6th grade!
Started playing the flute in 4th grade, did the spring concert's Star Spangled Banner the next year, and last year (7th grade) my band director gave me the piccolo for marching band (a privilege generally reserved for 8th graders) so I'll probably do any of the concert band fenzies with it now. Currently, I'm aiming to get my mom to Ebay a piccolo for me for Christmas, I don't want to have to give it up when I go to high school.
I can figure out how to play the melodies of things like oracion on the keyboard (I simply can't get my two hands to do different things), and I understand the basic concepts of trumpet, trombone, saxophone and clarinet and percussion. But I want to learn to play the violin.
I tried to learn flute and piano once, but sadly I did not have any talent and now I have no time for stuff like that.
Big band nerd chiming in; I play the trombone and the guitar, and I'm proud of it! Trombone's with a couple of groups, but guitar is a more solo thing.
I'm the best violinist at my school. I have been playing for 12 years (and counting!)
I've been playing the piano for about six years, and I've started playing the guitar this summer.
Tenor Saxaphone Don't play it much anymore though.
I'm a flutist and pianist, and I've also tried the oboe before.
I DJ, play the violin and the piano.
Flute and piccolo, FTW~ I've been playing for six years, and next year I'll be in the college band, which will be a new experience for me~
I've pretty much excelled in both middle school and high school bands. I'm now a Senior in high school, and I've bested nearly everyone in my band, as well as my AP Music Theory class when it comes to Music Theory.
I love band a lot and I plan on majoring in Music Education so that I can be a high school band director someday~
Music = life~
I play the piano, though it's mostly just for fun now.
i play clarinet in my band.OMG! I just realized i have my first concert coming up soon!
I play bass guitar, fantastic instrument, and I'm trying to relearn piano.
i used to play the Bflat Cornet... and recorder descant, treble and tenor XD....but now ive played piano for 5 years since i was 10, and guitar for 3 years (when i was 11, turning 12)
I play ALL percussion, mostly drums
i play the...
ocirina.
I play the piano and a bit of the drums. does air guitar count???
I started playing Clarinet in 7th grade. I played it for the first semester, then I switched to Bass Clarinet, which I love<3
but i left the school, so I had to leave my Bass Clarinet behind. ;___;
i hope to buy one very soon, but they're expensive.
i can play piano but not much anymore
I can play viola and ukulele. I'm learning acoustic guitar, but it's hard. I also sing, if that counts.
piano, flute and classic guitar. i also want to learn bass guitar, but the piano will always be 1st for me.
I play the Flute and I wanna get a Guitar for Christmas. At band there's this guy who does both and I kinda wannna replace him
I play bass guitar, because it sounds better than normal guitar in my opinion, plus I absolutely DESPISE plectrums...
I played drums for a while, but apparently some people find them 'noisy' and 'irritating'... I don't know what they're talking about...
i play normal guitar but only been playing for a few months
I can play a few instruments.
Double Bass (String Bass, Upright Bass, whatever you wish to call it :P ), bass guitar, guitar, steel drums and various concert percussion instruments (timpani, vibraphone, marimba etc.).
I'm looking to learn ukelele and either trombone or baritone sax.
I don't really play any instrument.
But I can play a tiny bit on a piano if that counts. \o/
I play the trombone, the harmonica, and the pipe organ quite well. I'm also an acceptable trumpet and piano player. I can play several chords and one or two simple songs on the guitar, too, but that doesn't count. XD Oh, and I'm a seasoned singer, if that counts. Sopranos FTW!
I can play clarinet and I'm teaching myself violin. That's about all I do.
I play a 10 year old student series Bach trombone. It's been my best friend for many, many years and still plays like a dream.
I can play the clarinet, piano, xylophone (Duh, any piano player can. :P), and the alto and tenor saxophones.
oh wait, then yeah you're fine. i enjoy concert band so...
I've played the piano since I was six (14 now), and I must say I'm pretty amazing. ^^ I'm playing Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata now, getting better at it (if you've played it, you're awesome). I also used to play the oboe in band before I switched to Euphonium last year (hi, Raven). I'm surprised; I actually managed to catch up to the band in just about 2 or 3 weeks, meaning I skipped about 2 years. (I started band in 5th grade) The oboe was actually ridiculously hard, glad I switched. Plus all that stupid swabbing, cork grease, etc. Euphonium just needs some oil and you're good to go. XD
Not to mention I can also probably still play the recorder. Almost no one else mentioned that in this topic I think. :/
I'm playing the electric guitar for... almost 2 years now? Yeah, something like that.
It goes pretty well I guess and I can play some songs, I'm not very good or something though XD.
I also attempted to play the ocarina, without success XD
I can play the Ocarina, Clarinet, Trumpet, and Baritone.
I would like to learn the accordian and bagpipes.
I can play Keyboard.
I can play Keyboard.
I am learning the guitar and because of school and fruitless job hunting I am very out of practice. I used to be able to switch between E, A, and D2 well but now I must begin again at square one. I hope to be able to play songs by thanksgiving so I can perform for my family.
i can play piano and i used to take kantele lessons for a while but i doubt i can play it so well anymore. it's been years.
oh and kantele is a Finnish instrument. not so many seem to know this instrument even exists
I used to play trumpet, but I gave it up after I got braces and never really went back to it. I also passively play electric bass guitar, more of a "when I get bored" thing. I like the sound that it makes.
I can play piano and clarinet, but I'm really lazy...
And maybe I'll make a band with someone from my class
I play flute and electric bass. I also play a little guitar.
I use to have a band. We were together for a little over a year, then we ran into some issues with a certain singer >>
piano, guitar and now starting with violin(it's really hard...)
i used to play the drums in fourth grade, but for one song, i had to read actual notes, so i quit and went on with the alto saxophone. I've been playing that for four years and i am very good at it.
I play flute in the school band.
I've played the flute for 6 years I want to learn french horn and piano. I'm in a school concert band
I play the violin. I used to play the trumpet, but I hated it and sucked at it, so I switched into violin. I like it much better.
I'm not in a school band, but I used to play flute when I was little.
I play the flute, piano, drums, guitar, and hammer dulcimer. XD I can play clarinet and alto sax and blabla other stuff, but I choose not to. They're kind of boring. P:
I play the Guitar
And the Trumpet last year, but then I moved into a private school that doesn't have real music class anymore.
I've been playing Clarinet since 5th grade, but I only take lessons once a week nowadays because of school.. :P
I play the flute, and the piano whenever I'm bored (I can hardly play either..) I plan to quit the flute next year though. I wish I could just do color guard and not have to worry about symphonic band.. (At my highschool, marching band is the same class as symphonic)
But I like to sing. Voice = instrument :3?
I can sort of play Clarinet but I probably can't anymore as I haven't played Clarinet in months.
I started playing piano when I was four. I've since added guitar and bass guitar to my repertoire. Some day I'd like to add violin and flute as well.
I played electric guitar! But I haven't played in years....
I play...10! Keyboard and guitar I took/take lessons for. I quit piano lessons 2 years ago, yet I can still play pretty well. How can one person play 10 instruments, you ask? Percussion in band. Most people think of percussion as drums, but it is much more. Snare drum and bells are what we play most often, but we learn new instruments when there is a concert coming up. I learned: Bass drum, triangle, crash cymbal, suspended cymbal, wood block, and cow bell. It's pretty easy, as the tequniques are pretty much the same for most instruments.
Piano, my first instrument. Love it, still play it to this day.
French Horn, only took up because my dad played it really good. Not really a fan, but I don't mind.
Guitar. Still learning though. Class that was supposed to teach it, we touched the guitars maybe twice during the entire semester =\
Flute. Still learning, gotta figure out how to control my airflow so I don't pass out after five seconds >.>
Trumpet. Had to for a couple years during marching band because the school didn't have marching Horns.
Drums and percussion. Learning still, but had to learn to play them the last time I took marching band cause they didn't have room for me on the field with everyone else.
I also have a Japanese flute (forgot exactly what it's called) that I want to learn, but it's my aunt's and I don't have any way of talking to her about it (I'd rather get her permission first).
I also like to sing. Thought I should add that too, since everywhere I go the voice is considered an instrument as well.
The piano is the only instrument that I can play without sounding like a retard 8(
It's such a beautiful instrument, honestly. I've been playing for about three years though, have many more to do.
I love my Stradivarius Model 37 Silver Trumpet! That baby plays like a GOD! And I only paid $500.00 bucks for a 5k trumpet. What a deal!
I can play the bowed psaltery. I started two years ago and I really love it!
Alto/Baritone Sax and Electric Guitar.
Alto/Baritone Sax and Electric Guitar.
Alto/Baritone Sax and Electric Guitar.
EDIT - sorry for the triple post, My comp glitched on me ' can I get a mod to delete them?
When I was younger, I played Violin, I did that for 4 years.
My mother tried teaching me piano, but I was too impatient.
And now I play my lovely trumpet, and couldn't be happier.
When I was younger, I played Violin, I did that for 4 years.

I'll be taking piano lessons in 2-3 weeks, I've really wanted to play the piano since I started listening to Tori Amos.
King of the Drums
Plays in a band
I play the flute and love it... *toots off while playing newcastle overture*
I used to play piano, violin, french horn, and recorder... but now I just play piano for fun.
I play(or played) clarinet. since I'm going to high school,I'm skipping a year for band, only to play for just a year. I was in a concert band in middle school & ended the middle school year in 2nd chair.I got kicked out of 1st by my friend... =T^T=
Well, I started on piano. I still play it on occasions, but I prefer electronic keyboards.
My second instrument was... recorder, of course. It's actually a really nice instrument once you know how to play it properly.
I play trombone also, which is my main instrument. I'm just better at it than anything else for some reason, probably because I took lessons from a man that (at the time) was the director of the Navy band. But yeah, I'm just way better at trombone.
I picked up tuba last year, and I'm decent at it.
I've been playing piano for over 15 years. Funny thing is that I can't stand reading music, but I love playing by ear. :/ It's just the way I am.
And if you consider the voice an instrument, I also sing and have been all my life.
violin. It's the most compact of string instruments and it's beautiful.
Ich liebe meine geige! XD
Granted, I need a new one because the one i have isn't really a "long-term" kinda violin, and I need to upgrade. But it won't never be played again.
I also understand the piano, but I don't have any form of tutoring or practice, so i can basically just play simple ode to joy and twinkle twinkle little star...
But i guess i should learn itifi want to learn harp. another pretty instrument.
Hehe, I'm a band kid. <3
I play clarinet and piano, but I'm a voice major. The voice still counts as an instrument, right?
Ooh, yay! ^^;
I play:
The Flute -- I play classical in a Wind Ensemble and jazz in a jazz band.
The saxophone -- I plan to play this instrument in a jazz band. I'm still learning it though. xD
The viola -- Classical music x)
The cello -- Classical music!
And I sing. I was part of a county-wide audition based children choir, a county-wide, teacher-selected choir, and an honors chorus. I used to take vocal lessons, but I do not anymore. If you look at my name ... you can see that I am interested in musical theatre! nowadays, that's all I sing. And singing is definitely considered a musical instrument. There may not be notes and such, but it takes time and effort to create the sort of sound that you desire. -nods-
If you're wondering, generally I'm labeled as a flutist or a singer. xD
I play many instruments:
Piano/kayboard/organ - Carnagie Hall, Concert Band
Drum Set - Jazz Band
Snare Drum/Quads - Marching Band
Other percussion - Marching, Concert, and Jazz Band
Electric/Acoustic Guitar - On my own
Clarinet - Just started taking lessons
Harmonica - On my own
And since the voice is an instrument, I am bass. :-)
I am in my school Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. I am also in my school choir/chorus.
I was lucky enough to be in both Band Fest 2010 and Chorus Fest/Song Fest 2010.
I play the piano and the guitar. I just started playing the piano this January, and I like it much more than the guitar, which I have been playing for 5 years.
I play guitar and drums.
I play violin and viola, and I'm going to school for it. I play the violin in orchestra, and viola in quartet with extra odd ensembles on the side. Used to play percussion in middle school too.
I play the trombone in my school's band. I love band and music in general. I actually met my boyfriend in band (he plays the trombone too lol). Band is really fun and I love being in it I also play the piano and I really wanna learn how to play the electric guitar (and learn how to sing well.... ) so I can form a rock band with my friends Right now I'm trying to teach myself how to play the acoustic guitar but I don't think it's going so well lol. XD
I play the flute for my high school band, but I did play percussion for a trimester last year. Lol. I also play the guitar (electric and acoustic) and the piano. I've always wanted to play the trumpet and violin and I've recently started learning the clarinet.
used to play piano but dropped it as soon as i picked up electric guitar. i'm not that good, can't SHRED or anything, but i like it, it's fun and it's more suited for the music i like.
hoping to grab an electric bass guitar sometime soon so i can start playing that too.
I play bass and I'm in a popband.
I started playing piano when I was 3, and have been ever since then. So I have a good 10+ years of experience in the piano (I don't think I'm that great, however). It's not my "main" instrument, though; I started learning the harp several years later, and I still play it to this day. It's such a fun instrument to play, though it sure does break my back trying to transport it! xD
I play many instruments:
Piano/kayboard/organ - Carnagie Hall, Concert Band
Drum Set - Jazz Band
Snare Drum/Quads - Marching Band
Other percussion - Marching, Concert, and Jazz Band
Electric/Acoustic Guitar - Taking lessons
Clarinet - Just started taking lessons
Harmonica - On my own
And since the voice is an instrument, I am bass. :-)
By the end of my senior year, I'll also know how to play: flute, saxaphone, barry sax, alto sax, trumpet, french horn, tuba, trombone, baritone, bass clarinet... And I think that's it.
I am in my school Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Marching Band. I am also in my school choir/chorus.
I was lucky enough to be in both Band Fest 2010, Chorus Fest/Song Fest 2010, and Marywood Honours Band (Honours Band; Band A) 2010. Both bands for percussion.
**Just copied and updates from a while ago.
Ohho. I've played the piano, violin, flute, saxophone, and bassoon. Sadly, I was only good at the piano and flute. n____n;
I love music, and love playing music. Although, I only play the Saxophone at the moment. I am really curious at playing other instruments once I have mastered the art of the Saxophone (so, never :P). I love the saxophone and love its sound, I love the versatility of it and the fact that, once you are good with one Saxophone, you are good with ALL saxophones.
I play sousaphone/Tuba
Guitar, cliché i know, but its my looooove. i can play THE ORIGINAL THEME OF POKEMON (:
I play Bass Clarinet in my school band.
And I'm pretty freaking awesome.
I used to play flute it middle school
that poor flute...... she broke into four pieces when I put her away
but I'm still in the marching band, I'm in the guard now though....
I play cello in the school orchestra, and I also play bass guitar.
I've been playing cello for a reeeaaalllyyyyyy long time (5 years, to be exact) and bass for about 1 year. I think playing bass is a LOT more fun
Played Cello since fourth grade, trumpet, clarinet, flute, piano, guitar. Ya know, the awesome stuff.
Well, it looks like I haven't posted here yet.
I play the bass clarinet (otherwise known as the Man Clarinet ), Alto Sax, we were forced to learn piano for music class, and I sing. Can't tell you how many times I've been told to go on American Idol.
I play the bass, I love it, and a bassist is always in demand
I used to play the trumpet.
It was compulsory at school that I had to learn how to play an instrument for 6 months.
I also play piano (which I regret doing now).
Piano and Guitar.
The piano and guitar are two of the most versatile instruments out there.
I used to play the piano, but I gave up when I hit mid-teens because I didn't like waking up early on Saturdays. ^^;
I'd quite like to learn either the guitar or the violin, but I can't really afford to indulge in my fantasies right now.
I played the clarinet for two years when I was in elementary school, and I've played the flute and piccolo in my two years of high school. I'm also learning piano.
I play viola, guitar, recorder and some clarinet. I really, really, really want to learn how to play piano though. "
My main one is Piano, though I can play most instruments pretty well. Such as a trumpet, cello, violin, mandolin, saxophone... the list doesn't stop. c:
And here we go:
Been playing piano for ~10+ Years, but got bored and am quitting this summer.
I've taken on the Bass Guitar around 2 years ago, (to get at least some joy from playing music), loved it and...
... got myself my first electric guitar around 1 year later, because I got tired of the often dull bass lines. My first guitar was a pain in the a** to tune, because it had a cheap Floyd Rose, but I loved playing the guitar nonetheless. Around 6 months ago, my dad brought home a drumset from the dump (literally). And, well, it's been doing its job so far pretty well.
4 instruments so far xD
i've been practicing my electric keyboard.. for a long time...
now this year,..... i'll practice how to play the bass guitar...
Used to play trombone for marching/orchestra/jazz/contest band in high school as well as sweet potato ocarina.
Thinking about learning drums or electric guitar in the near future.
I used to be gifted enough to play the flute. Gave that up after a year but I'm so desperate to play either the violin, cello or piano...
I basically have a music shop in my house, but I can't even play any of the instruments.
I'm learning to play the piano now, but I would loooooove to learn so many different instruments.
Mainly the violin and the drums.
I used to play the flute, but my mother sold it.
I currently know how to play the clarinet and violin. Except I neglect my violin, because I don't do any worthwhile solos on it to be honest as compared to my clarinet.
I do know a little cello, a bit of bass clarinet, and I do want to learn how to play string bass for jazz band during my high school courses. :>
I play guitar, drums, and a little piano.
I love guitar and would like to learn how to play guitar
I play guitar in a new band i formed with my friend, we just need drummer and we're good to go!
so if you're in the west midlands of the UK and can play drums get in touch lmao
I play piano but I'd love to learn guitar.
Improvised piano, very bat experimental guitar and singing. Both clean, disorted and growl.
I PLAY UKULELE! hahaa im still trying to get better but yeah ahaaa.
and im going to learn guitar hahaa
I play the French Horn, and I'm actually pretty good at it (I'm in a college-level youth orchestra). I used to play the Piano and Cello, but I don't anymore.
I also play the Mayonnaise and Horseradish. [/endforcedmeme]
I tried Violin in 4th grade, but i didn't like it, so i then proceeded to the trombone, which i got kicked out of for not practicing because i was too small to carry that around in 5th grade, and then in 6th grade, i tried percussion (drums) and it stuck, but i quit band this past year because i was sick of the instructor.
I play the bari and alto sax, piano, bassoon, guitar and mandolin. And I sing. P:
I was in my high school's marching band, wind ensemble and pit orchestra but my college doesn't have a marching band so I'm signed up for the concert band on bassoon.
I'm in band right now and play the alto sax. I've tried the Clarinet, and know a few notes, but suck, and I played violin a couple years back and epicly failed. xD
I've been teaching myself to play my grandmother's baby Grand Piano. It's amazing. I love it so much. I'm such a pro.
I sing, and I'm learning to play the piano.
I'm not musically talented, so I don't know how to play any instruments. Although, I do want to learn how to play some sort of instrument one day. Whether it be guitar or violin or flute or whatever. I just think it'd be cool to be able to say "Oh, hey, I was never musically talented as a kid, but I learned how to play a [insert instrument here]!"
I do sing though. I'm not in my school's chorus or anything. I just do it recreationally. I'm not that great either. xD
I play guitar mainly, although I can still play drums - I just don't own a kit. I'd love to have one, but I just can't afford it right now.
I play basson and piano
I started learning percussion about a month ago.
I play ukulele, but not that good.
I'm going to learn guitar.... soon.... even though i have been saying that for the past five years...
IT WILL HAPPEN
I'm playing the piano. Had lessons at school but now I'm just doing it for fun ...
Electric bass, all the way....though, I use to have a guitar, keyboard and I still have my dads trumpet.
.
I've played piano for 6 years and just started violin 2 years ago.
9 years playing piano, 5 years clarinet. Might look into saxophone or trombone.
Through Middle School and High School I was in a Marching band and concert Band, I played the trumpet, i don't play the trumpet now cause I kinda lost interest after graduating from high school.
I started out playing the piano(still do, actually), but switched to the clarinet in 2000. Since then, I have picked up Bass Clarinet, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophone, Guitar, Violin, Oboe. I was in marching band, concert band, and jazz band throughout high school, and also marched for my college for 4 years. I currently play in my community college's band, and have been for 4 years now as well
I have no musical talents whatsoever.
But I have a keyboard and would like to learn how to play at least, though I need to know how to read music notes.
I play the guitar. i currently have a electric and an acoustic one they're both blue and completely awesome
I'm currently a beginner violinist, my family could never afford music lessons. We did play things like the recorder (god no) and the xylophone in elementary, though. I've tried keyboard/piano and drums but since I had no instructor I really couldn't do much. I'm planning on learning both with an instructor eventually.
I play piano and guitar, as well as starting ukelele. I've only been playing for a few days but it's so similar to guitar that it's not too hard. I'm joining a band for the ukelele. *nod*
I play guitar, but just for pleasure.
sorry if this is classed as necro posting, but music is one think i just can't be without.
i play 4 instuments, although the first two i might struggle with now since i've not played them for years XD
first learnt the recorder (don't we all XD) and played for at least 3 years, took part in an orcasta at this time and played a couple of gigs.
next i moved on to keyboards because i wanted more range since the music i was begining to like at this time had more notes then a recorder could hit.
then i began to get into rock music and descovered the love of my life: the guitar and i've played that ever since.
been playing for about 5 years now me thinks, and have played several gigs, be it by myself like at Kevfest, or with my old band Wild Child or BH/DM (changed names) and i'm proud and honoured to say my playing has seen me in newspapers several times. here, have a clipping: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2009/357/5/6/20th__Me_on_stage_by_Dragon_fang2.jpg
i've also messed around with drums as well, i can play but nothing fancy like triplet kicks or blast beats.
edit: changed from image to link as the image was huge.
I never played an instrument but I can sing. I used to be in choir for a while.
I play the piano, but I'm still using picture books. v.v
I played bassoon in highschool, dabbled in piano from time to time...
mostly, I play the radio.
I am 12, I am in my Middle School jazz band, high school Jazz Band, Districts which is all professional instrumentalists so and play at a concert at UMass, and I am in Quabin Valley which only is by invite, and you must be really good. I have like 25 pieces to learn but I am fine. I play the Tenor Saxophone.
I'm a professional violinist.
Well, I'm not in band, but I am in orchestra, and I'm first chair second violin (i.e. the only one that can be heard cuz no one else is playing). I also sing a lot, and write my own songs, and sort of play the piano.
I play the piano, and it feels so good when you play it and sing at the same time. The emotions are in there, and you can really feel it. Also, I really want to learn how to play the violin and the harp.
I also used to play the flute when I was still in high school.
ive been a bassist for several years
I have a violin, and a tenor saxophone, which I also know how to play. I don't know exactly how to play the violin, but I want to though.
I play the alto saxophone (third chair like a boss). I absolutely adore the thing, though I'm not much good without a lot of practice.
Marching Band is my whole life once it starts. I'm not afraid to admit it.
I've been playing piano for a little over a year, and I'm getting better at it, I guess. I also sing sometimes, but I'm not very good uvu;;
I been playing violin for like 3 years now. I also know how to play the recorder and a little bit of guitar.
I play guitar, cello and electric bass pretty actively. THEN AGAIN it's part of my current job, I work at Guitar Center. To those who replied about band/orchestra I totally miss it too sigh
I play flute and piano, and used to play violin.
Been wanting to learn violin again but I don't have time. lD
I've been playing the violin for 15 years now but haven't seriously played much recently. Also play guitar and ukulele and like to dabble on the piano!
Piano
please put a little more into your post
thank you
I play clarinet and saxophone!!
I haven't in quite a while though, I kind of miss it.
;-;
I found an old violin missing a string in my cupboard when I first moved into this house 16 years ago. That's probably the closest I came to playing an instrument lmao.
I was also learning guitar a few years back. Kind of quit it though, because I just don't have the hands for it. It's definitely better to learn an instrument from an early age. I just couldn't get the chords
My boyfriend has also nicked my guitar, actually. Just reminded me.
I played viola from fifth grade all the way through the end of high school...but alas, as the viola I used was a school instrument, I no longer can. :c
I play piano a little bit—I took lessons for a couple of years in elementary, but my teachers kept moving away, so I never got really far. I can play melodies by ear pretty well, though, and can read sheet music with some effort.
...Does voice count as an instrument here? Because I also sing.
I am currently in the school guitar club and learning how to play recorder.
I hope voice counts as an instrument. I sing.
I've played piano for twelve years and clarinet in the band for five. I wish to learn guitar, flute, and violin.
I've played viola since I was 7 so I guess it's my ninth year of playing it, wow But yeah I can also play some other instruments like guitar and piano, but not as well as the viola
Oh, and I almost forgot that I sing too and I'd have the opportunity to be in a band but I don't have time for that ):
I've played piano for 7 years and Clarinet for 5 years. I want to learn how to play the trumpet.
I have played piano, thanks to university. I mainly play guitar, and have been self taught since... 2006. Landed myself a wonderful guitar, that is hidden behind these spoiler tags:
♡ I played the clarinet while I was in middle school, and I picked up on playing the melodica a few years back due to my obsession with Steam Powered Giraffe at the time. I'd love to learn how to play a stringed instrument, hm.
I play Guitar and Bass. Have played em for 4 years now. I play in a solo project called Illusionary Funeral.
I play a djembe drum sometimes. I would love to learn piano, ukulele, flute, and acoustic guitar. I've also wanted to make dubstep with a computer DJ program, but I don't have a setup or supplies.
I do play the piano but I'm not in any band just because I'm playing only for fun (hobbie) and for me. I started playing like 2-3 years ago
I play the trumpet, and I'm in the school concert band, though I want to learn the clarinet sometime.
gotta go fast!!!!!!!!!!!
I was part of a band as a drummer, and participated in orchestra as violinist back in my high school days.
I've played the trumpet for 6 years now, and own a guitar, piano, violin, and piano but I don't know how to play any of them very well. I want to go into film scoring/music education so I would love to learn them but I just can't find the motivation or time to do so. I only got good at trumpet because it was part of school so I practice daily.
I played violin when I was really young and then played flute for a few years in school. Unfortunately, I haven't played anything in a couple years and I miss playing music a lot but it's just not in the cards right now.
I used to play guitar and saxophone.
I am a pianist! I found it difficult studying music because I play by ear which is very misunderstood as "can't read music and has no purpose in the musical world." I can read music, but the process is much slower for me rather than playing it back in my mind. I write my own music and can sing which is lucky for me because I don't know many people who can sing to help me record my songs. In the past I have played around with clarinets, flutes, drums, guitars and trumpets, but found none of them peaked my natural interest as much as a piano. It's my secret love, classical music playing, particularly Chopin.
It's so cool to see how many other people also play an instrument!
Acoustic guitars, electric guitars, keyboard, guitar accessories, digital pianos, studio gear, drums having topmost brands such as Ibanez, Cort, Casio, Hohner, Jackson, Korg are the best musical instruments. The sound quality is great.
