Introduction ---welcome to the "Think Outside The Egg" Group, or T.O.T.E for short. this Group is dedicated to those who love the artistic styles of the egg sprites in the GPX+, and those who love to collect and see many diffrent kinds of eggs. By Joining This Group, You Are Dedicating Yourself To The Art And Beauty Of Every Egg, And Every Pokemon That Is Born From Every Gorgeous Capsule Of Life~ (basicly, this is just a simple club for those who are intrested in spriting, spriting eggs, the GPX+ itself, and/or egg sprites). if you would like to enter this group, please read the "Rules And Sign-Up" section.

There Will Be 8 Spots and This Will Be A Knockout Contest . Like A Tournament

The Eggdex Is Basically What Is On The Tin . Its a Pokedex Filled Of Custom Eggs Sprites Of Our Members . The Current Eggdex Was Taken Off The Original T.O.T.E Group

Eggs must be the same size as the egg sprites that are on this site . That is a main rule . That way they look nice and neat together . =3
Oh, and there's eggs that were posted but never added to the dex because Slow Bro was updating or something (starting on page 5 of the old thread).

Yours Is 33px x 30px . Maybe Redoing It Or Making It Smaller?

When The Egg Dex Get Bigger I Will Have To Be Stricter Guys. So Say If You Enter A Pikachu Egg But A Better One Comes Along . Your Pikachu Egg Would Be Replaced With The Better One . But This Wont Happen For A Long Time

Wow. This contest looks fun and the entries look neat, but I can't do any spriting until this weekend when I get more free time.
Is there any particular size/style/colors you want for the ribbons? By style I mean something similar to the ribbons from the game/show where it has a medal on top or just a ribbon with words on it.

I've got some competition for the contest. I don't think you can be really original with a notched ear pichu egg... Next competition you should go for a custom egg, or from a pokemon where you know you have a lot possibilities

Hmm, looking back makes me think I should change my shading methods, I personally don't mind second though. (I personally thought the ears looked a little off when I was making the sprite.)

You cannot made images transparent using paint. I personally use Gimp, it's free but you have to download it.

Look all three of them together, I like the way kyogre and groudon came out but I think rayquaza kind of looks like a treeko with a tribal markings xDD I might edit that one if you don't like because Rayquaza doesn't really have a belly area I just added the red because it also has red lines running through it.

haha... stupid question here... but has anyone tried to draw the egg on paper first, THEN scan it into the computer and edit it with Paint.net? i have a few sketchings i did last night about 2am...when i should be sleeping... i couldn't sleep on it tho, so i drew some ^^ if it's a decent idea, i'll post them up, incase anone would like to make an egg out of them?

I'm not sure if I can make a tutorial. I make my eggs based on trail and error, after all. I just find sprites and cut out certain parts and paste it on the egg. I then edit it, (adding pixels, taking pixels away) until it looks good, then I shade the egg. (Again,adding/removing pixels)
I don't follow a specific pattern. I just play around with pixels, colors and sprites until I get something decent (or half-decent). Then I make it transparent and publish.

Well... im not uploading them again, cuz i got distracted.... some old lady in a wheel chair was at the edge of the road... so we went to see where she was from etc... XD
i may use the action replay and get a full pokedex and draw stuff from the pokedex... yeah... i'll do that actually ^^

Favourite Egg And Why ?; Mesprit, because I like the fact that according to Pokemon legend, it taught humans pain, sorrow, and joy and that the top portion of its egg is magenta. Magenta is one of my favorite colors. It's quite a meaningful color too. I think magenta suits the 'being of emotion' pretty well because the color is an 'emotional' cleanser that releases emotional stress and replaces it with "self-respect, protection, and self-awareness in one's self".

Aww, cute, Grhaal. You should make your eggs transparent. I go to a site called http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=11087. It's easy. You load the image first, then you select 'Transparent' under the Create column and the 1st option in the Transform category, so you won't miss it. Then simply click once on the white background surrounding the egg and click Convert. Afterward, you can just go ahead and right-click the image to save it onto your desktop.

I still cannot think of any good pokemon to make eggs of. None of them are working for me currently. I'll make something once I get an idea on how to make an egg for it.
