Hello everyone. I'm trying to complete my Eggdex and Pokédex but got a problem.
How I can get a Normal type Arceus Egg? In Help or Wiki only talk about the shards, plates and the special exploring and it's not about it I'm after. |

After you complete Death of the World seventeen times to get one of each of the other types of Arceus Egg, all subsequent completions will give a Normal-type Arceus Egg.

After you complete Death of the World seventeen times to get one of each of the other types of Arceus Egg, all subsequent completions will give a Normal-type Arceus Egg. Thanks. Ah, I was wondering how you get one… though I have yet to get one of any type, only got one Iron Shard to date from last month’s SWSH with Klefki and this wasn’t around back when most of my previous shinies were hatched. I’ve only placed 4 times in the weekly Poké Hunt, I lost one week even WITH a shiny (which was my redo of Lechonk, though I didn’t max out its level if that would’ve been better). So need to place this week with the last Giftbox I need, then I can start getting Shards if I get 1st on following ones. On this subject though, versus me making a new thread that was likely answered long ago, is it even POSSIBLE to get a shiny Arceus? I’d assume so, but I dunno if anyone has even when it wasn’t a Normal-type, using one of the Plates. If anyone who’s not a higher-up here would know… since I don’t have any Dex data to check it at present. And I’m assuming it’s not possible that even if you release an Arceus for one of the Plates (or can’t get rid of the Plates by selling them), you can restart hunting for Shards for any of those specialty ones. Like if you got a non-Normal one that had terrible IVs… This post has been edited by WanderingPikachu: Jun 4 2024, 12:28 AM -------------------- |

Yes, Shiny Arceus is possible. The Pokemon Counts page shows one Normal-type shiny exists, one each of Fire, Psychic and Rock, two each of Ice, Fairy, Flying and Ghost, and somehow five Bug.
You cannot release Arceus at all. For both that reason and the difficulty in getting it, it's not something that's reasonable to shiny hunt, and the above shinies are all luck and not something anyone can attempt to try for. And no, you cannot get rid of any plates or shards, nor can you currently obtain a typed Arceus that you've already gotten. When staff first added the ability to do Death of the World endless times for more Normal-type Arceus eggs, they said they also planned to add a way to change Normal-type Arceus into its typed forms to enable shiny hunting those forms (via shiny hunting regular Arceus). That hasn't happened yet, presumably because any site development that involves coding things has been mostly dormant for many years. And no, you cannot get rid of any plates or shards, nor can you currently obtain a typed Arceus that you've already gotten. Really? Even the Normal-type one you can redo? That at least should be releasable (unless it is, since the Help section on Arceus is outdated and has no info like you said before to user Monca on how to get Normal-type one), if someone would get back to what you said about the site coding being null… just because, not being able to release any Arceus kinda limits the number of the Normal-type that you could get, with regards to how many times you try to attempt that Exploration. I mean, I wasn’t even planning on trying to do a shiny recorder hunt of one, I just asked if it was possible since I didn’t know of that page. As stated elsewhere, only been back on here over a month (maybe month and a half) after almost 13 years of forgetting this site. I say that it should be releasable because at best, there’s only 75 PC boxes (dunno if they added 25 extra boxes I didn’t get since my break, since I had 50 before I stopped playing here in 2011, only gotten 1 new one so still need to unlock 24 more) and only 24 spots per box, even if you kept no other species for variety in battles with that part of the site. Though I’ve done very little of battling since my return… if they weren’t gonna add more boxes as well for all the Pokémon they’ve clearly added since I played back then. I mean, dunno if in terms of difficulty, you are referring to the fact of how to unlock the quest, in addition to how hard the Help section claims the quest itself is or just that last part. Even if I assume there aren’t variations for each of the different Plates for the differences in Arceus types or even as just a Normal-type. And dunno if there’s an answer to what happens if someone who gets banned had any Arceus? Would it/they just get erased and not released along with the rest of that user’s Pokémon, over the course of the week since their ban? Just curious… not that again, I have any or plan on doing anything to get banned whenever I do get one, but dunno if there’s a reference for this with what you say about Arceus not being releasable. I would assume they’d just get deleted, even though that does seem unfair if you ask me… Sorry for the length of this one… -------------------- |
