Cuties 'n' beauties

My connection has a rather odd behaviour. My wi-fi will work with most DS games, but on the wii, that is a different story. PBR will work fine, but my other games have an odd behaviour. I have done everything I know I can do, and now i'm asking for help here.

To better explain my issue, i'll tell you what happens when I play Mario Kart Wii (People play that, right?). I'll start a race, but I find that during races, none of my items will hit. If I fire a red shell, the red shell will connect to the opponent, and evntually break with no effect. My shells never hit an opponent no matter how clear the shot is. And in battle mode, sometimes I will lose coin simply from driving around. After a little while, the wi-fi will disconnect completely, though it will declare me the winner.

And if it helps, I use a wi-fi USB connector.

This has been driving me nuts for long enough. I really need all the help I can get.

Telling us the problem would be slightly less useless if you told us your wireless setup.
