I haven't seen a topic on these (there's one on piercings that looks old, and nothing on tattoos) so I figured I'd start one. WITH A POLL!
As for me, I'm inked. I have four tattoos currently. Two on my back, one on my arm, one on my leg. I'm going to get more in the future, although I'm not getting any soon because of Disney. I also had piercings in my ears, but they got infected, so I removed them. Eventually I would like to have my ears re-pierced. I'm personally a huge fan of body modification, specifically tattoos and piercings. I'm attracted to tattooed guys, especially ones with full sleeves. I also love the artistry behind it and all of the different styles. -------------------- [align=center]I am the earth-mother, and you are all flops.

I quite like things in moderation.. piercings I much prefer to stick to ears opposed to anything other. The same with tattoos.. as long as they're in the usual sort of places and within moderation it's fine.
I used to have my ear pierced at one point, no tattoos (my parents would kill me and my boyfriend isn't really into them so I choose not to) Plus I have no form of income to even get any if it wasn't minded. I do however have other modifications, albeit not due to my own fault. The left side of my upper was sunk in, so the front 2 created a triangular gap over the years (which is the only thing that's filled) -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. Currently I don't have any piercings or tattoos, I know at some point I'm going to have to get a tooth filled though.
I've been considering getting a tattoo, but I'm still not sure. I don't think I'd go as far as getting entire sleeves, though one of my classmates was getting a sweet Legend of Zelda sleeve done that had various aspects of different LoZ games incorporated into it, which is a pretty cool idea. If for some reason I were to get an entire sleeve, I'd probably keep it themed. For the most part, if I do decide that I want something, it'll probably be something simple and small. I've been considering getting the Soul Silver logo somewhere since Pokemon has managed to be one of my favourite franchises for 15 years and Lugia has always been my favourite Pokemon. As for the location, back/side of the neck would be pretty sweet like what deadmau5/Joel Zimmerman has, but I kinda feel like it'd be awkward without additional tats elsewhere. My main reasoning for wanting tattoos related to "nerd" culture in visible places is that they inherently act as a social filter and conversation piece. What I really enjoy about wearing my Legend of Zelda and Game of Thrones shirts is how many complements I get, and every so often they generate a small conversation. It's the best way to attract people who probably wouldn't have socialized with you originally into suddenly having a full-blown conversation, which is great now that I'm far more social now that I'm wary of unpleasant individuals. -------------------- [align=center]

not sure if ~extreme~ hair colors count as a body mod, but i plan on dying my hair pink and teal sometime in the near future; something like this, except more pastel-tinted, shorter (and with an undercut), and also i'm a dude.
both of my earlobes are pierced, but i only wear jewelry in the left one-- a small silver hoop. when i was younger, i whine and whined to my grandma to get my ears pierced and she wouldn't let me do just one. i also have a month-old(!) helix piercing in my left ear. i'm looking into facial piercings (specifically "snake bites", but that name is so silly lol) but i'm too lazy to care for them consistently, sooooo that's a no-go for now. i also wouldn't be opposed to a septum piercing, but that's pushing the amount of metal my family is comfortable with me having in my face. i tried to stretch my earlobe piercings when i was in high school... the less said, the better. i'm planning on getting two tattoos (also against most of my family's wishes) : a diagram of hydrogen on my hip and the fall out boy crown pyramid on my shoulder. (i know, i know. but they've been my favorite band for almost ten years!) i think the coolest tattoos are the ones that are most meaningful to people. i also really dig the aesthetic of tattoo sleeves since i have years of nostalgic reasoning behind the f.o.b. tattoo, i've also come up with something to tell people who ask what "those dots and circle" mean: like most of the hydrogen in the universe, i am hot and unstable! also, it's the simplest possible molecule and i find unspoken beauty in simplicity. -------------------- |
