Have you ever messed up on pronouncing a Pokemon name? |

I was playing Emerald and every time I saw a Girafig, I would call it a 'Gigarafig'. Every time I saw a Shifttree, I called it "S***tree". Have you every messed up similarly?

Yeah, I've missed up. Like Riolu. I thought it was pronounced rye-lo. It's apparently pronounced rye-o-lu. The only other one I remember is Marill. I called it mer-ill. It's pronounced mah-rill. Yeah, some of the pronunciations are weird.

I'm not sure I messed up any names in the 3rd gen, but OMG, Johto.

Tons, but a lot of them were honest mistakes. When I heard the actual pronunciation for some Pokemon in the anime, I thought, "that sounds dumb. I like my pronunciation better."

I mess up a lot when pronouncing pokemon names because I'm Portuguese and when talking randomly I forgot to use the english pronunciation of the names and just...adjust them to portuguese. lol.
