Just a quick question, can you get mystery gift on Pokemon Yellow, and if so how? Also, is it compatible with Staduim 2 like G/S mystery gift was? Thanks in advance

*Slightly off topic*
I just found out that I can still access all the old Pokemon I deposited from Silver onto Stadium 2 with my Yellow cartridge. That means I can transfer them to Yellow, which is very good cause my shiny Tentacool, and a bunch of other Pokemon unobtainable on Yellow, eg Weedle and Ekans, where stored there

So you might not want to do that, at risk of losing it's shiny.  Oh hey I just realized your post was from '08. I should check dates before I comment. I know it won't be shiny on Yellow, but I'll be able to use it on Stadium 2, where it will be shiny
Also, I'll be able to evolve it into Tentacruel, which reminds me I should really go and do that.

But shinies in the first two gens were determined by IVs, weren't they? Why would they change between games? Unless I'm missing the point here and not realizing you're talking about the sprite...
