Some of my Pokemon in the Battle Tower box don't have a full list of the battle items that can be equipped. For example, my first Pokemon, a Krookodile, only has the option to equip a ghost or psychic gem, but my Charizard has the option of dark, ghost, psychic, fighting, and ice gems.

From the Help page: "Pokémon can also acquire both weak attacks of any type that is not super effective against them by holding that type's "Gem" item."

Krookodile is hit super-effectively by Fighting and Ice, so it can't hold those Gems. Also, it's already part Dark-type, so it can't hold the Dark Gem, either (because the Dark Gem wouldn't be able to add any attacks to it).

I try to fight with Sunny & Lorrie, click choose Pokemon and choose 6 of my Pokemons in Battle Tower. If i click submit choices an alert will popup with the message:

Invalid data submitted.

Ok.... So i will try to edit my entire team first.
Go to Manage teams, give a team name and choose again 6 Pokemons and click on Submit team.
And again a alert will shown (really?...)

Ensure you've entered a name and selected six Pokemon before proceeding!

Are you actually moving the Pokemon into the party slots at the bottom of the window?

In Battle Subway, somewhere around battle #35. I finished the battle by defeating the NPC-controlled opponent's last Pokemon, the Charizard you see, with my Azumarill. However, my internet was doing weird things at the time, which I think may have contributed to this bug. The battle did not close and award me the win; instead, it simply says "There is no data to display" while letting me switch between Pokemon, attack, etc. I can't progress - could some staff member please help me out? I would prefer not to have to start all the way back from the first battle again, since I am trying to get my Exp. All.

Also, thanks for your battle guide! When I last played, Megas weren't out yet, so I never learned that they got an extra 50 base stat boost. And for some reason, before I read your guide, I simply assumed that the Pokemon I had put into my Battle Tower had good IVs... went back to check and discovered that a few of my key pieces actually had pretty bad stats! Hopefully, after breeding some better-stat copies, I can extend my previous 65 streak to 75 and get my Exp. All!

Sorry I was in RL till now. No it hasn't resolved itself. And it also shows no past battles so not sure what is up with that. But I'll try again

From what I've gathered, there's no server side check that ensurers that you can only do one move per turn. By issuing multiple moves quicker than you get response, it is possible to switch pokemon and attack in quick succesion because the interface only locks when you do attacks, not when switching. It does however ensure that the active pokemon has the attack you are issuing. So if you are switching to a pokemon that also has the attack you are using, then you don't get an error message about invalid attacks.

Scenario:
I have Alakazam active, I choose to switch to Scicor and then quickly also attack using Haze. One possible outcome of this is that Scizor becomes my active pokemon, then Alakazam attacks with Haze and Alakazam is hit by an attack and faints. Now I am forced to switch because my pokemon fainted. However, my active pokemon is Scizor, so I can't choose Scizor even though it has full health.

In a nutshell, the battle tower code doesn't have the proper level of mutexes to handle the fact that commands can happen multiple times for each response.

I have a theory about the bug that causes you to wait for the AI to pick their pokemon. I would guess that the NPC is supposed to pick their pokemon first, and then wait for the player. However, due to big lag, it could be that by the time the player has chosen their pokemon, the NPC still isn't done selecting their pokemon. And then when the NPC is finally done, it assumes that the player will pick their pokemon later, so no further action is taken. What is supposed to happen is that the battle should starts, which probably only happens when the player picks their pokemon.

You have to actually place them into the team visualizer at the bottom of the "Select your pokemon" window. You do this in the same way that you move Pokemon into PC boxes: click to highlight them, then click in the place you want to put them.

You need to physically move the Pokémon yourself like this.

Make sure you're using the right number of Pokemon too

Is anyone else having trouble with the rematch of marshal? it keeps hanging up on me i choose my pokemon but it keeps saying waiting on opponent.

This is a known glitch throughout the entire Battle Tower/Subway system, not just on any one opponent. I'm afraid there's no way to fix it, so you'll have to forfeit and try again.

During Subway battle, I was forced to switch my Pokémon even tough it didn't faint.



After the switch you can see that Armaldo isn't fainted.
