I have a few questions about the exchange ...

If you enter a shiny does it look at the egg dex or the shiny dex ?

And the activity is mesured the day before the exchange happening the 31st at reset.
Then you should be active the 30th? or the 31st during the day?

If ur to enter a shiny, u are guaranteed a shiny back. However, if u were to submit a shiny 'regular' pokemon, u wouldn't receive a shiny legendary. You get the same kind of pokemon u submitted.
Since the exchange occurs at the reset of New Years Eve, the activity done on the 31st is what matters.

Yeah the rarity thing i figured out but i was wondering as my egg dex is complete would it look at the shinies i don't have yet or the eggs i don't have yet.
I am thinking about sending in a shiny novelty (i don't have a shiny legend yet unfortunatly) but it would be very *** when you get a shiny back you already have. As i don't have any spare this year, i don't like the idea of giving out one i had trouble collecting for a double

I was going to ask about this as well - will that mechanism be used at all or is it really random this year? EDIT: I'm just going to assume that we're still using the mechanism since nobody changed that section on the Help page. Silly me for not reading more closely.

Anyhow, I'm glad the exchange happening - I was starting to think I'd missed it. :P
I suppose I'm entering my shiny legend...

Always enter this. I don't need any legendary now apart from shiny ones which just isn't happening and arceus but no one will put arceus in exchange. So I'm trying to hatch any shiny I already have then will put that in. If I don't I mite put my shiny evolved electrike in. I only got it through luck by hatching electrike to get achievement after my longest shiny hunt.

My! Seeing the types of Pokemon others are entering will make my poor lil Pokemon seem like Chicken Little or something. LOL He will be shiny though so he'll have that going for him at least. And, unlike what I'm reading of others, he's the only shiny of that type of Pokemon I have so... *eek*... may he find lots of love at his new home. I wish I had a shiny legendary to share but I don't so I'm going to hope for a novelty to make its way back to me and if it is a shiny one all the more yay for it.

I'm going to hold off on submitting mine though until closer to curtain call as I am considering doing another exploration and that might take up the party slots I need. From what I read, though, when you submit isn't the issue. It's the activity before. Hopefully I'll be able to be active on both the 30th and 31st. Since they're both week days I'm thinking it shouldn't be problematic for me.

I'm sorry but I'm not quite clear with the explanation. What's the meaning of same kind? Is it same rarity or same egg group? Or same Poke type? :|

There's no guarantee that if you donate a pokemon with two evolutions to get one like that in exchange. In fact, I don't think the script checks that at all.

Hey guys. I have a question- Long story short, I tried submitting a pokemon, noticing I chose the wrong one, then saw the message, clicked "no", but it submitted the pokemon anyway! I know it sounds weird, but I actually clicked on the "no", it lagged a bit, I clicked on the "No" again, and next thing I know is that the creature is gone. is there any chance at all this could be somehow reverted? I /know/ it was written there that it cannot be reverted, but please, if you could suggest anything at all, I'd love to hear that. I dont even want that pokemon back, I just want it cleared somehow so I could submit the one I originally intended to. If there is anything at all that could possibly be done, I'll be very greatful to hear it.

So many sending in shiny legends, it seems. Perhaps the annual Arceus will be a bit more... Golden.

I'm just gonna rush the rest of this Celebi exploration and throw send it in. I unfortunately released all my legends a bit before this event came up so I'm lucky I didn't rush myself through this month's explorations.
