Edits for 'Specifics': Along with the already mentioned things here, he has a regular build for his age. The rest is up to you( just do not put glasses on him. Not that I don't like glasses, but I don't want them on my current request)

Double-posting for an update.

Pokémon: Smeagle ( shiny, but that's because red > green x3 )
Gender: Female
Specifics: The "hat" on Smeagle should be a beret of sorts, with a little tassel to represent the "horn". I would like her in a relaxed pose as if she's painting something that we either can or can't see from our view (aka: prop optional). Naturally, she has a paint brush in one hand. Angle and other specifics are up to you. I've seen what you can do, so I have more than full confidence that you will impress me.

I'm working on the Raikou picture right now, and this comment is 100% unrelated to it. Just something that's been bothering me for a bit, and that I wanted to say.

I've been civil and/or lenient to most (if not all) requesters here, but some people (I will not name any names) make requests in a tone that bothers me. It's not that they're rude, it's just the way some people word their requests that is mildly grating, so I'll state this:

These pictures are not commissions, nor are they gifts.

Therefore, I am under no obligation whatsoever to make something that you'll want and/or like. Similarly, I am under no obligation to notify you when they're done, and I am under no obligation (though this has not happened other than out of my own will) to "fix" anything after the picture is finished.

While I put down a "specifics" section for people to say what they would like their request to be done like, I am under no obligation whatsoever to actually follow said specifics. It matters little if the result is something you want or don't want, and if you're afraid you won't want the picture, then you shouldn't be requesting here. There IS a chance that it won't be what you had in mind, but since these are free, you're not actually losing anything - the only one "losing" anything would be me, since I spent the time working on something you didn't want. It's not a "waste" to me, though, since I'm using these for practice, and it is definitely not a "waste" if the requester for some reason never checks this thread again - I'm not the one missing out if that happens (and hence why I won't PM anyone when I'm finished anymore).

tl;dr: Most people are amazing about requesting, and I am more than happy to make pictures following their request. Some of these I'll complete, but I'll NOT be happy about it, simply because the requester makes it sound like either the request isn't important enough for them to check back, or because it feels like I'm under pressure to not "mess up".

I don't want to sound arrogant, but I'm not drawing these pictures for the requesters most of the time. I don't really know most people who come in here to make requests! Some of you I've already taken a liking to so there is more of a gift aspect to it, but in general these are NOT gifts. They're practice pictures and design experiments, and I figured I'd add a "request" aspect so they'd actually be useful to other people too. So I'm not exactly a generous saint, myself!

All of that said, there haven't been any complaints after the picture's been completed! This is more me being nitpicky about people's wording.

I haven't gotten a single ill comment after completing a picture. I'm more venting about some of the things people say while they're requesting! I don't mind people being particularly specific, I just want them to understand that being particularly specific won't guarantee something they'll like. I've worked under commission before and if I'm being paid, I'm willing to work out every tiny detail to make something the client wants - but since these are free, there is always the risk something won't quite turn out right, and I don't want people thinking I have to make something they'll like, nor do I want to have to bend over backwards to meet certain specifics (though so far I have mostly managed).

You never did come across as obnoxious to me, so don't worry about that!

That's what I mean! Some people make it sound they don't care, or make it sound like they're my boss, or like it's my loss if the picture doesn't turn out the way they want to or something. And that annoys me a little. D|

................. I love you. That... just that there makes me want to open up another tag shop. The last one I had (on another forum) I closed for a similar reason. I generally spend three+ hours on each tag since I like to experiment with new C4Ds and filters, not to mention my old computer is slow making everything take longer forcing me to use all of my patience I have and more. When I complete requests, people never comment on them or use them. It makes me feel like my time is wasted on them. People give snobby, specific descriptions for requests expecting it to be perfect, just as their visions show. You're not them, you don't know, therefore if they want it they should do it themselves.

Take it or leave it, but if you're going to leave it you shouldn't have even asked in the first place.
I just hope I wasn't any of a bother... :c

Your picture always turn out to be something great. I won't complain if you don't follow the "specifics" on my picture. I was just aiming for something that I may RP with but regardless of how it turn out, I will put it on my avatar and use it and may still RP with it.

I greatly respect yours (or anyone for that matter) artwork and the fact that it free means that beggars should not be chooser. No pressure, if my specifics are too much then go crazy with it.

See, that's why if I make requests, I don't put a lot of spesifics in them. XP I usually just give small details and let the artist work from there because usually I'm not good at being specific ((is told that all the time XP)). XP I appreciate anything given to me and use it to its full potential.

thats why i dont really put many specifics
cause your pretty much garenteed to be at least a tiny bit dissapointed if it doesnt turn out the way you wanted it
thats why i always leave it to the person to choose
that way i am excited as to what its going to look like, instead of expecting it to look the way i want it

Gender: male
Specifics: A violet/lime cape. Could you also make Raikou's metal whiskers into a mask to go above/on the nose? If possible, also make it look like he's changing from shiny to normal, using a mix between both colors in a transitional way? Mmyes, otherwise just go wild.

I gave him a little breathing hole since we don't want him gasping for air... also just the whiskers looked strange, so I gave him a full mask. He looks like some kind of flashy SUPER HERO.
