Hello,

Just before the start of the SWSH, I've picked a pokemon to hunt and started to hatch a couple of them to have a daycare couple. I was lucky and one of them was shiny.



As I got it before the start of SWSH, it didn't register. Unfortunately today when I canceled that entry to pick another pokemon I was met with :

You have recently cancelled a hunt for this site-wide shiny hunt!
You will be unable to start a new one until Friday, July 22nd 2022 at 10:26 AM

Thinking about it, I understand you want to avoid having people cancel and restart a hunt in order to be shown as having got that shiny with a low number of attempts (is it that important though?). However my hunt was at 0, so it couldn't be manipulation at all. Also you could block entry with that specific pokemon, so if someone insist in restarting, they quickly run out of possibilities. And if someone legitimately wants to switch to another pokemon, it doesn't affect them.

Am I really punished for cancelling a SWSH at 0? Can anything be done to unlock SWSH for me before one week?

Since you cancelled a SWSH hunt, it counts as a regular cancellation and you'll be locked out, as is stated on the Help page:

What happens if I cancel my hunt?
Cancelling a site-wide shiny hunt will prevent you from hunting ANY of the hunt Pokémon for one week, just like a regular shiny hunt. Therefore, if you pick the "wrong" Pokémon from the selection, you'll either have to complete the hunt or deal with the penalty before signing up again for the one you wanted to hunt.

Had it been a regular hunt for Sandile, that you would cancel to start a SWSH hunt for Sandile, that'd be fine:

How do I participate?
If you have a normal hunt active for the Pokemon you'd like to hunt, you'll need to cancel that first (though you'll be able to immediately start a hunt for the site-wide hunt, bypassing the normal waiting time).

I suppose it only matters for the number of eggs hatched, however, this is all clearly stated on the Help page, so I'm not sure if there's much to do. Unless there's a "restart" button (as with regular hunts). But I'm not a mod, maybe they'll be lenient.
