What exactly happened to Professor Ivy? I obviously don't watch the anime much anymore, but this is something that's been bugging me for years. Ever since Brock randomly came back outta nowhere and spiraled into deep depression whenever someone mentioned the name Professor Ivy, I've always wondered what the heck happened.
A few years ago a buddy and I were joking around suggesting she was eaten by Tyranitars.

That is part of an extensive collection of Pokemon Anime Mysteries that will never be revealed.
Either that, or the writers wanted to get rid of her easy. :/ Big boobs and today's society don't mix. It was ok in the nineties and and the early 2000. Remember how they didn't care about Prima's boobs? Now they probably will. So maybe that's why they cut out Ivy. As for the mystery of Brock and Ivy... I sense perversion here. |

You never really hear about Brock's dad anymore that just happened to come back so Brock can go run off with two pre-teen kids. Ash has gone back to Misty's Gym, but never back to Pewter City, it is Bogas. I wanna see those 400 some-odd brothers and sisters of Brock gang up on his Onix and all the others that Brock claims "I left them to play with my brothers and sisters"

Actually, his Dad has gotten a large amount of coverage now.
Flint runs the Gym while Brock's away and Even Brock's mother, although she appeared outta nowhere. And Onix has long since evolved into Steelix thanks to training by Brock's younger brother Forrest, even though Onix only evolves by training, but it's ok as long as you train a pokemon hard enough, it will evolve! -------------------- Old team, but still the best trainer card ever. :D

The real reason she's not around is really weird. The creators of the anime thought Brock might be racist, so they had to think of a plot to get rid of him and replace him with Tracey, but then the fans said they liked Brock better, so they brought him back and now, there's no reason for Prof. Ivy to be around anymore.

Apparently another purpose of the GS Ball was to introduce Celebi in a story arc for the anime, but then they just came up with the Pokémon 4Ever movie and ditched that idea. And probably hoped everyone would forget it ever existed.
