Title says it all; just how excited are you about HG/SS? For me, it's a dream come true. I screamed and almost cried when it was announced. Release day can't come sooner.
-------------------- I somehow managed to lose my Diamond, but I just got Platinum so I'm rebuilding my old team on that after I complete the main storyline.

I'm not all that excited, but I'm pretty interested. I'm extremely exited too.
I said to myself when D/P came out that I wouldn't get either since I don't like the most recent pokčmon (I broke my promise and got Platinum anyway) and I wouldn't buy a gen 4 game unless they remade gen 1 again or gen 2, which I thought would never happen. So I got pretty darn happy when I found it out IS going to happen! I'm getting SoulSilver, since I had Gold before but got bothered by some missing cute pokčmon (who were also absent from Red, like Vulpix and Meowth) I've already made a plan. Hopefully before this time I will have gotten my own DS lite (right now I use my brother's) so I was gonna restart the game three time and send the starters over to Platinum:3 For the "real" file I'm gonna chose Totodile, and not evolve it. Eventually I hope to restart Platinum too (and send over my starters, legendaries and other pokčmon I'd rather keep) so I can get all the Sinnoh starters too...eventually I dream of owning all the starters for all the generations XD I have available the Hoenn ones from my brother's Ruby, but I'll probably have to trade for the Kanto-starters. --------------------  Uxie  Anitarig  Daisuke  Weasley  Sceptile  Rika  |

I'm quite excited for it since I just loved the second generation games. Crystal was also my favourite game since you could go over to Kanto.

I'm SUPER excited. <3 I have been waiting ages to hear them announce a remake of these two.
 I gotta wonder though how much the story will change. Especially since Gold and Silver allowed us to go through Kanto as well. Will they keep that section, or even add on the other regions? Now THAT would be crazy.

Though I'm not all hysterical, I have to admit that I'm pretty happy about it as I've been waiting for this for a long time. Now let's just hope it doesn't get cancelled. (Not that I think it will get canceled but...)

I was very happy to hear the news of their re-makes. I've been replaying Gold/Silver/Crystal to get back into the swing of things (though HG/SS won't be out for a long while).
Hopefully, they'll be better than FR/LG re-makes. I liked FR/LG enough, but HG/SS will be something spectacular, if they do it well. I'm very excited about HG/SS. I loved the original versions of Gold and Silver as Johto was my favorite region. To be able to go back, but with enhancements (though I'm hoping that they'll definitely be keeping the day and night system) is something that is making me very happy.

I'm really excited about it, but then I remember that its a long way off; particularly for us in the UK. So you could say I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not hyping myself up for something I'm not going to have for about a year. I'm actually considering buying the US version because of the whole thing with the Game Corner in UK versions of Platinum. (which I've only heard about, because I have a US Platinum) I know its only a novelty, but its a novelty I actually used from time to time and I'd like that option open to me, in future Pokemon games.

I'm extremely exited. This may seem dumb, but the one feature I'm looking forward to most is having a pokemon sprite follow you around, just like yellow! It'll be so nostalgic, seeing as Yellow was the first game I played. My one complaint (well, really a complaint about G&S, but it'll apply to HG&SS as well) would be that I hate all the starters. Hate 'em. I'll probably trade a lv. 5 Ralts or something from Diamond to it. My plan right now is to see if they come out with a Crystal remake soon after, but if not after 5 months or so I'll be getting Soul Silver. I really can't say I'm a fan of the names, or the male "hero" sprite.
But I'm still going to buy it, play it, and thoroughly enjoy it.
