The Best Ice-Types:

Just to clarify, I have read the help section on this, and it hasn't answered my queries.

So my friend has recently joined and I wanted to send him some items from my inventory (via sky gifts), I enter the trinket section, and select the trinket in my collection, it's under rarity five, and I have plenty of them as the help section suggests, but the 'sky gift' button is greyed out, and unpressable.

I thought this was due to him being a new user, but I have tried with some of my other mutual Pal Pad friends and it still doesn't work.

Maybe I've confused this process completely.

How do I send my friend a gift with items, (assuming this is a sky gift).

Thank you!

Yeah, you're confusing Sky Gifts with gifting Trinkets.

To give a friend some Trinkets, just go to the Trinket like you did and pick "Gift to a Friend". You can only do this one at a time.

Sky Gifts are an entirely different thing; you trade in a certain number of R4 or below trinkets, giving you a Sky Gift taht you can send to someone randomly or to a specific person on your Pal Pad.

That makes a lot more sense, thank you for the information, how would I 'trade in' these trinkets for the Sky Gift?

Oh, my apologizes; you can only send a Sky Gift to a specific person after sending 5 to random people.

Click "Option" on the Trinket, then "Sky Gift". You'll get a warning that you'll lose however-many trinkets (24 for a Rarity 1, 12 for a Rarity 2, etc). After the warning, if you can, you can pick the Pal Pad user to send the Gift to. Otherwise, click "Send Gift" and it'll go out.

As the Help page says, the Sky Gift doesn't contain the traded-in Trinkets; instead in contains a bunch of other site-usable items, such as Honey or Vitamins.

No worries, thanks so much, even though I've been here for two years I still have much to learn.

You've been a great help, all the best!
