Luckily in Britain the only Earthquakes we get couldn't damage a plastic bag if it tried. (Maybe an exaggeration but still).
It'll have to be both though. I wonder which song will get covered to boost money though... -------------------- She is beautiful, in every single way~ In life you cannot press rewind You only have one first chance To make one first impression That lasts a lifetime I existed in a womb, just like an abyss Came from behind the sun, my hands balled in a fist Punching on my moms stomach, kicking on her cervix Twitching cause I'm nervous Though my intended purpose Was to be born to reign |

I believe we need to help chili. They got a 8.8 eathquake and Haiti got a 7.0, Chili is in need much more.
@Lord Raven- you don't actually believe that xD Its only because some chinese guy died and couldn't make more calenders so everyone freaking out Dx -------------------- Avatar by Wishful Jirachi, Rhazze, Mazakala, Juanness, and Cyndaquil Cynadqul CDB, thanks! It's Chile not "chili"
Even though the one on Chile was 8.8, the one on Haiti was much more destructive. Plus, Chile can recuperate much faster than Haiti because they are not as fucked-up as Haiti both economically and in damages. --------------------

Wow. No one voted for Haiti... Do I smell prejudice here?
Anyway, I voted that we help our own damn selves and keep our nose out of things that in no way pertain to us. Now if you have family in either country; sure, help out. But really. Donating a dollar or whatever may make you feel like the best fucking person in the world - but a dollar isn't going to rebuild two nations. "But that's why every dollar counts! If everyone pitches in we can really help them out!" ... Whatever. I really question if the money donated actually ever goes towards the cause. My mom ended up suing a local animal organization because our donations we not being used to help any animals in any way. So I lost trust in any foundation that claims to help others with the use of your money. Life goes on, y'know. So why should we help other countries when there are people in America who need help? I think this country needs to get its priorities straight. Eh. I'm slightly shellfish. -------------------- |

It's true though, if everyone donates 1 dollar or if enough people donate like 5 bucks then it'll help out. the point isn't to rebuild, just to help out as much as you can, and a dollar is better than nothing... i'd rather donate and the charity events are great social gatherings anyway.

USA has enough money for everything, so if earthquake even happens out there, they will be able to rescue themselves. We cant say the same for Chile and Haiti.

USA has enough money for everything? USA, I'll have some money please, donate it to the Webbz charity or something.
Considering I donated to Haiti, I'll probably donate to Chile if my school does something.

Actually I don't think Chili was destructed more, because Haiti was already a very poor country so it already looked like a war zone basically. I basically said that Haiti had more damages.
Not exactly Raven, Haiti is the poorest country in the Americas and Chile will recuperate from their quake faster --------------------

Happen to us? HA! THAT'S A GOOD ONE. A STRONG EARTHQUAKE IN SCOTLAND. That's as likely as me moving to a hot country full of dangerous animals. Our earthquakes couldn't even harm an ant normally, the strongest one we had was about 2.8 on the Richter Scale according to my friend and apparently, everyone thought a truck was just passing by. XD
I say help them both, either way, they will both need help. EVERY little bit counts. I for one, donated all the money I had in my jacket pocket to Haiti when my school was helping them, and there was a lot of money in there considering I never buy anything at school or really anything in general, at least Ł10 in change and at most, probably about Ł15-Ł25. Other pupils sold quizzes to other pupils and teachers, they earned Ł150, that means they had to sell 300 since they all cost 50p. 300 single 50p coins are not very much separate but, together, they make a good amount of money which CAN make a difference. I bet my school will soon help Chile as well. My head teacher really likes helping the world, just last week the sixth years were asking us for money for a charity which I donated about Ł2 to and there is a notice that on Friday, we should wear red and donate 50p to another charity. That's going a bit off topic though so, as I was saying, we should help both. -------------------- If any of my old friends want to contact me, please email me!

Stronger earthquake doesn't always mean more casualties. What if a 10.0 earthquake hit the middle of nowhere and a 5.0 earthquake hit Los Angeles? Which one would cause more deaths (to humans)? Second, it was a Mayan, not "some chinese guy". USA has enough money for everything, so if earthquake even happens out there, they will be able to rescue themselves. We cant say the same for Chile and Haiti. Considering we're a couple trillion dollars in debt, I wouldn't really say so. -------------------- |

actually a 10.0 is a pretty big-ass quake that can affect thousands or even millions depending where it hits, and a 5.0 quake would only cause a bit of panic in LA. I know it was a comparative example but it wasn't a very good one.

XD Many people in Mexico City said the same thing until 1985, so don't get so confident.

I would have to favor Chile over Haiti. I'm biased towards it because I did a report with my friend on it and its my friend's and my "thing" I guess you could say. >> But Haiti definitely needs more help.
But the USA is already in enough shit being so in debt. Yes, USA, we know you like to be heroic and help others in need, but do we really have the money? Perhaps we should keep it to donations. I'm sure other countries want to help out too. -------------------- |

even if we are in massive debt, a little altruism never hurt anybody. i would rather be further in debt, myself, but i don't care enough about money for this to matter much.
