My Litwick egg is at 100%, but it still won't hatch. It told me that it hadn't been long enough, but after it hit 100%, I picked up 5 other Litwick eggs from the shelter, and I just hatched all of them, but the first one still won't hatch. Is there something wrong with the egg?

But how come the other ones had existed for less then an hour, but were still able to hatch?

no you only owned them for less than an hour (i am assuming) it goes by when the egg is laid not when you obtain it

Really? I had always been under the impression it was from the time the egg was laid, and the help page says "An egg cannot be hatched until it is at least an hour old" which would indicate one hour from the "Egg Laid" time. Can anyone else confirm this one way or the other? |

Can anyone else confirm this one way or the other? I kept checking when I was doing the 250 hatched achievement yesterday. Some were at 100% and laid over an hour before but still weren't able to hatch. Yet when they reached an hour from their donation time they were hatchable. So either I ran into a lot of glitches yesterday or it's by donation time. -------------------- |

No, it's definitely 1 hour at laid time. That's why all the eggs I grab from the shelter that were donated after :12 can still be hatched at :12, exactly one hour after they were laid.
Yo mad. I doubt it would have been glitches, I'd put my money on it being user error. This post has been edited by Agent P: Apr 2 2011, 06:27 PM -------------------- |

Take a look at the timeline for one of the eggs in your party: QUOTE Egg Laid Apr. 2nd '11 at 2:12 PM Donated by BatteryApr. 2nd '11 at 2:30 PM Adopted Apr. 2nd '11 at 7:36 PM Laid =/= Donated Laid is when the daycare couple lays the eggs. Donation time is when the daycare couple owner clicks to donate the eggs to the shelter. Sometimes they can be the same time while others can be minutes/hours/days apart. QUOTE Why won't my egg hatch? It's at the maximum maturity... All eggs must be at least an hour old to hatch. You can also buy a Flame Orb if you do not want to wait. From the help page. Donated doesn't mean existed, it's how long the egg has physically been around for. From the moment it was made in the daycare or lab. I have an egg in my party that was donated at 8:52 server time, about 25 minutes ago. I will be able to hatch that before 9:52 server time. EDIT: Six examples of mine that disprove your thoery: http://gpxplus.net/info/ELiDd http://gpxplus.net/info/FPPDd http://gpxplus.net/info/QBiDd http://gpxplus.net/info/EAiDd http://gpxplus.net/info/pwFDd http://gpxplus.net/info/mTFDd This post has been edited by Agent P: Apr 2 2011, 07:21 PM -------------------- |

I had this to and figured it out.
You can hatch a 'donated' egg in 15 minutes(or less?), while you must wait one hour when your daycare 'lay' an egg and you grab it. -------------------- |

Donation time is when the daycare couple owner clicks to donate the eggs to the shelter. Sometimes they can be the same time while others can be minutes/hours/days apart. We all realize that the times can be different, but that's irrelevant, the 1 hour rule is based on the Egg Laid time, which is why eggs can be hatched in less than 1 hour after their donation time. Such as in the 6 examples Agent P just linked to :P Edit: I had this to and figured it out. You can hatch a 'donated' egg in 15 minutes(or less?), while you must wait one hour when your daycare 'lay' an egg and you grab it. There is no specified time length for hatching "donated" eggs other than the 1 hour rule x) If an egg was laid at 6:12pm, and the user didn't donate it until 7:11pm, technically it would be able to hatch any time after 7:12pm, so if you adopted it & got a zillion clicks right away, you could hatch it whenever it reached full maturity, even if it took you only 1 minute or something xD This post has been edited by Kristastic: Apr 2 2011, 07:28 PM |

Then yesterday I must have ran into some glitches (or maybe an April Fools joke, lulz).

Yes it is definitely the time it was 'laid' not 'donated'. I've hatched numerous eggs less than 10 mins after donation (but laid a lot earlier) with no problem. Basically it is an hour from when the egg is 'created', let's put it this way. In other words, if you pick up an egg from the Lab that had been generated over an hour, you can hatch it as soon as you get to 100% maturity, even if it's like 2 mins lol.
