I made us a discussion thread while we discuss other plot ideas?
I say we start with them meeting up around Mt. Carello. If Adam is lost, and since Cesc lives in Arasam, one of them can stumble upon the other, and Cesc can lead Adam back to the city to get him all set up.
Any other plot points you'd like to hit?
I have
Adam and Cesc meet
Cesc enters a contest.
That's it. We need more story, I think
Thanks for inviting me to participate Kamaitachi.
I need to think of a reason for Julie to be in Arasam. Maybe she heads to Arasam because of its hot springs? I could say that she wanted to visit all the hot tourist destinations before starting her journey properly. Any ideas about what mode of transportation to use to get there?
In terms of more plot... Julie would definitely be interested in at least spectating a contest. She can't enter one properly yet because she only has two pokemon. So she should think about looking for a new partner too (maybe after catching one she can enter with Cesc?).
Conflict-wise, we should work in the mountain somehow. We could either enter the mountain (like, go in a cave or something), or try and climb it. What do you think?
We needn't have a huge conflict for Julie's first RP.
How about this?
Cesc is training along Mt. Carello, Julie stumbles across him? He tells her about contests in Arasam, they got hunting to find her a third Pokemon partner so she can enter?
Since Cesc is a playful sort, maybe they'll make it a contest?
As for transportation, we've established that there are buses, etc, in the world. My first character's first rp was in Petropolis, rather than Port Barley, so it's not unheard of for Trainers to skip Port Barley entirely
Sure, a pokemon catching contest sounds like a good idea. I think there are some mountainous pokemon Julie would like. *cough* *cough*
Although, I can't imagine Julie voluntarily leaving town on foot (because really, her shoes are too good to ruin in the wilderness), so I propose they meet within town (at hot springs?). It's also probably a good good idea for her to buy some better gear for running around and such, plus some poke balls. She'll probably be distraught at the lack of high fashion in a mining town.
Any other points we should add?
Am I still in RP? Erm,Well maybe a couple lessons on Pokemon raising, after all she's a newbie trainer and Rhythm and Baritone often fight, and it drives her up the wall. Also,Arden isn't sure whether she's going contests or battles,so maybe showing her the contest strings.
Of course you're still in the rp How about Arden joins Julie and Cesc's competition to try and find some snazzy pokemon in the mountains?
We can probably throw in some practice battles (maybe with the pokemon they catch? seems like a decent way to judge things...) so Arden can get some exposure to both coordination and combat training.
This all sounds good to me
Why don't I have Cesc judge your practice battle, since he's far higher levelled, and will be participating in a contest at the end of the RP?
Last order of business: We need a title.
Oh god I don't even know
UM...I LOVE #4.
Thanks, it was inspired by a previous work of mine, titled, "A Story in Which Characters Are Introduced, Then There is Some Dialogue".
So, when are we going to start? ;p
It's up

Thank you for having me in this rp although you've already set up everything, I'm really grateful!
Well, courtesy first of course; my character's name is Jill Cortoma (all information included in the signature below), and she'll be joining as well. I've read through the ideas as well as the already posted posts and found something that fits perfectly with the story.
Due to her history, she already has a fascination for mountains and feels at home there. Presuming this takes place after The Grand Invitational, she could go there in order to do something about the feeling you could describe as a heavy case of depressing home-sickness. She might as well think of adding a new member to her crew as well and comes across the rest, eventually being swept away into entering the contest just for the thrill of it. And not because some silly reason like really adoring to make up and write such posts or anything.
Anyway, this seems okay with everyone?
Yep, sounds good! Welcome to the rp!
Sorry for not replying yet, my country needed me. actually, just my employer.
Anyway, putting up a post as we speak!
Regarding the ending of the post I just made: In case it wasn't clear, that was an open invitation for any of you guys to show up.
Sorry for disappearing for so long, work and a vacation with horrible Wifi got in the way. I'll finish my post in a few moments so whomever wants can continue from there on!
Sorry for the delays on my end as well! Life has been nothing short of crazy recently.
So, I'll have a post up soon myself
Aand once again I managed to disappear for a month. Geez. Anyway, I'm still in, if you still want me, that is no worries! Also, promise to up the activity.
Glad you're back Aura!
...but more importantly, I'm glad Jill is involved now. I was kind of stuck on writing my next post, but now I have more to work with.
She's had enough time on her own, and when seeing the situation I just had to make such an entry.
But as you can guess, she still has to find her backpack and go find her Poochyena. But I thought this might stretch the story a bit if I made her lose so many things. Who knows what will happen in those caverns...?
Sorry that everything's taking so long, I'll make sure to post something by tonight!
In my efforts to keep track of all the bees (so many bees), I noticed a slight communication problem. Kind of to be expected with so many of the same kind of pokemon running around. Some of the details of who is attacking who got a little muddled.
Gotcha! Hehe, that unearthly awesome BEE-DIAGRAM though... it looks more like a war strategy to eliminate all evil bee-forces, which I shall baptise Operation BEE-gone.
I'll get my post done by tonight, because I currently don't know what I'm typing...
