Johto, GSC for the win!!!!!

My icon was made by MelNathea on DeviantART My DeviantART account Water types are weak against Fire types if they use Thunder as armor. Flareon can use dive and aim for the horn. Then finish it off with False Swipe although it may faint if it uses Endure...but thats just because everyone knows Arbok evolves into Seviper |

Johto defiantly. I'm only a fan of the first two. Most after that don't even look like pokemon to me. Sinnoh is by far the worst gen

I'm goin' with Johto. Sure Sinnoh has the top dog Arceus( sorry if my spelling is off) and a better movepool for your pokemon(the shard guys esp.) , but Johto introduced shinies, has the Rocket uprisng, allows you to visit Kanto, and lets you challange the original poke master from gen 1. Not to mention my favorite starter, Cyndaquil.

QUOTE having been raised with Pearl. Hahaha I feel old. xD I was raised on Kanto and I actually favor Sinnoh, though Jhoto is a close second for me. -------------------- |

Sinnoh by far. Better plot than any other Pokemon game, best villain (Cyrus, oh how I love that guy), most evil team, great cast (Looker! And the Elite Four members/Gym Leaders, oh... Flint is my favorite fictional character ever.), has the Pokegod, great Pokemon, gives evolutions to a bunch of Pokemon that needed it, fun land to explore, lots to do...
Johto, to put it bluntly, is extremely overrated. Forgettable Pokemon (though the starters are pretty nice), boring layout, not much mythology, pretty bland Gym Leaders... The rival was pretty cool sometimes, but I'd take ADHD-boy over him any day, haha. This post has been edited by Leander: Feb 7 2010, 05:50 PM -------------------- |

Sinnoh is amazingly forgettable, so I say JOHTO! Brilliant storyline, great pokemon, wierd rival, Dragon-type gym, and awesome legends. And plus, they got Totodile. -------------------- My Party

The rival was pretty cool sometimes, but I'd take ADHD-boy over him any day, haha. I hugely disagree that "needed" evolutions were given, Likitung Electabuzz and Magmar are already strong enough. A needed evolution is one for Fafetch'd. But I say Johto, the pokemon stay simple and do not become idiotic drawings that are just an overkill; the music is the best; twice the gyms = twice the greatness; there is no national dex yet so you could get all of the known pokemon without having to look at all the pokemon; had the better starters; introduced the day and night system; made Silver, possibly the coolest rival; didn't have a little hyperactive sailor kid as the rival; had a more epic final battle; Cynthia sucked; the legendary beasts and Ho - Oh and Lugia absolutely destroy all the stupid legenaries from Sinnoh; Gary gotherluckin Oak is in there; and you can't get a lot of my favorite pokemon in sinnoh. The only complaint I had with GSC though is that Kanto seemed rush, and didn't have the legendary birds or Mewtwo. -------------------- |

Sinnoh, Johto's starters AREN'T cute, it's full of easily forgettable pokemon and SS wasn't quite as good as I was hoping it to be, in fact, it was a let down. The only good pokemon to come out of johto were the 3 beasts. And I don't care that dialga looks like a robot, that's the way I like it Heck HOENN is BETTER than johto.

Johto cos:
It has cute starters. It has cute Eeveelution couple. Awesome legendaries. It's so original. It hasn't gone OTT with Pokemon. -------------------- Mon, June 23: I have lost interest in using the sites due to other websites taking my interest so I will no longer be online as of today |

Johto
Pros: I like all of the starters (an achievement only Kanto matched). The Rival actually has character development I liked the town designs, although I can't really say which I liked more until I get SoulSilver. The legendaries had good designs~ >w< I liked the music. c: Karen~ <3 Cons: Kanto was horribly rushed, and was the millstone to an excellent game. (I'm including it because I'm still kinda disappointed about it. :/ ) They. Introduced. Runners. >( HATEHATEHATEHATE. The phone. I hated that thing. A distinct lack of Mewtwo. :< Sinnoh Pros: THEY HAD THE TIME PONY AND SPACE PENIS. I'm immature, yes, but it's still a fitting nickname~ And I liked the designs. Giratina. c: A female champion. The battle themes were awesome~ A team that actually presents a threat. Cons: WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE THIRTY BILLION RUNNERS WHAT THE FRACK IS WRONG WITH YOU NINTENDO?! I found most of the Pokemon designs to be rather dull, and the tacked-on evolutions stupid. The contest alterations. I used to enjoy the strategy needed for contests. Now they're boring and rely mostly on my complete inability to play rhythm games and remember the items that go with the theme. Surfing speed reduction. CAVES CAVES CAVES CAVES CAVES CAVES and Zubat stalking the night. I don't mind surfing routes. I mind the caves filled with Goddamned Zubat. In other words: Johto wins. :| I would have put Wi-Fi on Sinnoh's list, but both regions have that now, so it doesn't count. And while I didn't hate the ADHD rival, I didn't like him either. Kinda boring. Like most of Sinnoh. -------------------- |

Johto was way better, be because of all the new features it introduced in both Gen II and Gen IV. I mean come on, even if Kanto was rushed, two regions is still really cool, shinies were introduced, pokemon designs that were fitting enough to follow gen I's pokemon designs, berries, battle tower (although bad), a direct follow-up stroy to Gen I, and many more. What did Sinnoh introduce? Well i think they tried to make pokemon a religion with arceus, a god pokemon, which i despise to this day. Jees gamefreak that was so cheesy...

I really like Sinnoh. It's wide, also has a wide diversion of types and it is pretty much kick-ass. The Evil team is Evil, instead of some wimps (though the Glameow and Wurmples are coming out of my nose, figurally)
Johto is nice, though small. It has a kick-ass rival, though Team Rocket is really wimpy in there. Pretty good female gym leaders, bar Jasmine. -------------------- |

Johto. I remember the huge hype surrounding Gold and Silver when they were first released, especially because of the new Pokemon (ZOMG! MOAR Pokemanz?! Must catch'em all!). Johto seemed like a much larger improvement, or rather development from Kanto and the first three games. I like Sinnoh, as well as the recent games general, but they didn't have the same effect, nor have I ever been as impressed with any of the new pokemon as I was with Johto.
