Personally, I prefer Double Battles. They allow more room for strategy, whilst Single Battles usually demand more head-on combat.

Double battles are fun. It's sad that no one likes them.
Single battle can be fun too, but you're all alone up there...so your pokemon better be good on its own. This post has been edited by Dazmi: Aug 9 2010, 08:53 AM -------------------- |

How is this a debate if you're asking preferences? :P
I wanted double battles in the games since that double battle gym in the OI. Glad they finally incorporated it. Colosseum is one of my fave Pokemon games mainly cause it's all double battles. -------------------- |

Double Battles > Single Battles
Like you said, Flare, there seems to be more room for variety and it's a lot more fun in my opinion. My "Active Squad" below my icon is a "double team" team and work together to achieve victory on Pokemon Battle Revolution! Why else would I have Dig on some of my Pokemon when they can learn Earthquake instead? Garchomp & Aerodactyl combo FTW! -------------------- |

I have never seriously played doubles, I don't like it as much as the head on action of singles, personally.

I'm very old school so One on One will always be my fav but I must admit Double battles are good for raising my Magikarp (I always raise my magikarps from a low level). However, Single battles were originally the only way to battle and much funner

I like Double Battles because if I have a Pokemon with an EXP share, the split exp that the 2 battling Pokemon get is added together to the Pokemon with the EXP share. Helps training lower levels.

I definitely prefer single battles. The double battles tend to annoy me at an extent, but I do happen to enjoy them, sometimes.

It depends. Most of my teams are build for Double Battle, but I can easily change my team to go with a Single Battle.

With double battles, I can pair up my pokemon like Dragonite and Tyranitar, where T-tar can use Earthquake successfully, or Draginite and Octillery where Dragonite can fly away before Octillery uses Surf...
...It's mostly *Pokemon who knows Fly* and *Pokemon with field engulfing move*. Plus, it allows moves like Eruption or Rock Slide to be used to their full potential considering they're both able to attack both of the enemies pokemon without hurting mine. -------------------- space...spacespace...wanna go to space...I'm in space...are we in space...I wanna into space, are you space? I like double battles better. It adds some variety and more strategy than just single battles.

Double battles, seeing as how I mainly inflict status conditions using low attack high defense pokemon. That way I get rid of more pokemon faster.

I prefer singles, mostly because they don't end as quickly as Doubles do.

I prefer double battles, but I'm usually forced to engage in single battles due to my Pokemon's attacks. Then again, I tend to disregard the hindrances and charge into double battles anyways. :D
