Mine is Firebird, which I nicknamed a Torchic. Yeah, pretty horrible...it was my first pokemon game ever though, in my defense.

my first pokemon game pokemon Red and blue ( got them for Christmas ) for red i nicked named my Charmander fire Lizard....... and for Blue with Squrtal was Turtle.......
 but then i started getting better nick names so i think by the time i get Black or White i would make normal nick names

On this site, I named a Munchlax Pocchari, which means "a little on the chubby side" in Japanese. My first game was FireRed, and I named my Charmander "Char". I think I win the most pathetic name of the year award.

well once i named a Caterpie a Cat..... it was on my sisters yellow (she stole it from me....)

tbh, I named a pidgey shitdick. I never nicknamed pokemon until I played through the original Gold game and named all my pokemon vulgar names (except for Cyndaquil)

Hmm... No idea. It was probably one of the first gen starters, just renaming them so that their names wasn't all capitals (So Charmander instead of CHARMANDER).

 I had firered, my first ever pokemon name, and I found a shiny Slowpoke, and I had no idea what shinies were, and I thought it was a glitch, so I named it Weord.  (Yes, that was his name, I meant to put Weird though)
