I'll start off with Froakie, and will definitely be going for that event Torchic. When I eventually get to pick form the Kanto starters, I'll go with Bulbasaur. Water, Fire, and Grass. Yes good. Excellent.

Beyond anything considered a "starter," I'll be going for Ralts (eventually Gardevoir as opposed to Gallade), Honedge (MUST HAVE A GHOST-TYPE ), and lastly, something really defensive that can do support and/or entry hazards. I'd prefer Shuckle, but Pineco or Ferroseed would do as well.

Of course, the (unknown) order in which these are obtainable in-game could very well make having a good-sized party at all points in the game be a problem. If this does come up, I'll probably just scavenge nearby areas for usable temporary party members. Goodness knows I'll have plenty of options.

my friend was in the first gym and shes usign a gible and the foe used take down. It said it was SUPER EFFECTIVE?!? what the heck!?!?!? HOW??? WHEN???WHY???? how is a normal move super effective against a ground/dragon type!

Finally beat the Elite Four Tuesday night, so here's my first-time hall of fame party.

Didn't expect Avalugg to become my 6th, but as soon as I found out that Bergmite could use Surf I rolled with it. Though, Avalugg's got horrendously low special attack and defence, physically it was a tank. Dished out some mean Avalanches with him, it's at least earned my respect for initially being a Pokemon that I didn't really like that much.

I'm now thinking of Battle Maison teams, so far I'm looking at:
Electivire or Metagross
Aegislash or Ferrothorn or Mega Aggron
Hydreigon or Mega Blaziken (super cheaty so I'm hesitant)

I really wanted to use Gourgeist, but I wasn't able to get one in time, so I decided to use my loyal HM slave Pangoro (after giving him better moves of course!). So I'll use a Gourgeist for the second try and with another team (there are more great new Pokémon after all!)
