So this morning I was on my phone trying to move my cosmos and cobalion from my mobile walker onto my pc when it released all of them in there including my event misquaza egg. I'm just super upset because the mobile site has done that to me before and this was just so frustrating . Is there no way the moderators can help like give me another eggs for them? I usually don't ask but the mobile site has failed me for the last time... please I'm at my wits end...thank you. I know releasing is final, but this was the sites fault, not mine. And the only reason I can assure you I didnt missclick, is because it had the dropdown menu to move the pokemon

I'm not on staff, but I can tell you that there's pretty much zero chance of you having your Pokémon returned (or getting new ones) since it was your error. I know you say that "this was the sites fault, not mine", but it's far more likely that you mistapped on Release without realising it until afterwards. I should know because I've done it myself, and it wasn't fun. It's happened to other people too, but the position of the staff has always been that if your Pokémon are released by a user action, even if it was accidental, it can't be reversed. All you can do is go through and replace what you released, I'm afraid.

Sorry for the delay in getting an official staff response.
Mobile site is definitely outdated and not something really in development anymore, however bugs like this shouldn't exist, especially because the actual actionable code is run through the same backend code as the main site. What I mean by this is if you tell the frontend to move the Pokémon, and the confirmation box actually says you're moving them, then there's zero chance the backend will ever decide to release them instead. That just doesn't happen and never has because we've always been very careful there. That said, how the frontend works, and if it's for some reason making the wrong backend, is not something I'm 100% sure. As I mentioned, it's outdated/unmaintained plus it was developed by another admin and not by me. I took the time to play with the mobile walker on the actual mobile site today, on my iPhone, and couldn't figure out a way to reproduce what you experienced. If I choose to move one Pokémon, it confirms that and moves it. If I choose to move multiple Pokémon, they for sure went to my box. If I choose to release one (or all), it specifically says it in the confirmation box and does release them. If there's some way for you to reproduce this bug, and prove it's an issue using a screen recording or some other way to document how you're reproducing it, I will look into how to patch it as well as credit you with a voucher or something to replace what you lost. However, right now it just seems like an unfortunate mistake. -------------------- Want a rotating avatar like mine? Check out my website: randimg!
