1997 - David Abell Wood, priest, dies at 72
1997 - Richard Vernon, British actor (Gandhi, Hard Days Night), dies at 72

These are the only ones that died on my actual birthday but I don't recognise anyone on the list.

Alamo occurred on my birthday (and close to it since it wasn't a one day thing...) so a lot of famous deaths around there. John Phillip Sousa as well. A lot of other people I recognize but I'll leave you with the list.

The Runaways

I've never heard of most of the folk who died on my birthday. (March 13th). I think I've heard of Henry Wylde, Benjamin Harrison and Nicolas Beets, but obscure guys like Jean Fernel and Isaak E Babel... nope, never heard of 'em.

Man, this is a very depressing topic. lol Anywho, some people who died on May 27th were...

Paul Gleason - May 27, 2006. An american actor, who appeared on one of my favorite shows "Drake & Josh". That was his last role, especially. He played Mr. Thompson. Gonna have to go back and find that episode. He was also on "Boy Meets World" for two episodes. Also he was on "Die Hard".

Alex Toth - May 27, 2006. An american cartoonist and animator. Did a lot of animator work.

Gretchen Wyler - May 27, 2007. Died of breast cancer, and was on broadway before.

Jeff Conoway - May 27, 2011. Lots of shows as well, especially Happy Days.

Well, I was born on December 14 and from all famous people died this day, I actually know:
1476 - Vlad III the Impaler (b. 1431) (for ones who don't know, this person is said to be some kind of a prototype of well known Dracula)
1799 - George Washington, 1st president USA (1789-97)

And actually 2 people died the same year I was born, but I don't know who they are at all....

I've known about Sam Cooke's death being on the same day as my birthday for years, since my mom likes his music. Outside him, I don't know anyone on the list...

Only one I remember currently is Leonard Cohen, though he didn't die on the same year. If he did, then I'd be only a year old and logically wouldn't be able to use a computer haha.

Mascara Massacre.

Not sure if this counts or not, but I always found it super amazing.

I've always been a massive Star Trek fan since I was a kid, I'm talking like there's action figures, tribbles, posters, starship models and autographs all over my house kind of fan. I have the NCC 1701D tattooed on my back and I have a TnG communicator badge on my chest. So yeh, massive fan forever.

My mom went into labor on Oct 22nd and I was born on the 23rd.

Gene Roddenberry's (guy who created Star Trek) ashes were put on board the space shuttle Columbia and launched 30 miles from my home on Oct 22nd and reached orbit on the 23rd as I was being born.
