Sooo, I stumbled upon GPX from someone's signature on an avi site called Caedon, and thought the Pokemon spites/art were pretty awesome. Having no idea what I was getting myself into, I signed up!
I literally have no idea how any of this works, and am not finding the "Getting Started" or "Managing and Raising" pages very helpful... How do I actually get anywhere? How do I hatch my eggs? Edit: First day I hatched a Cyndaquil, Porygon, Honedge, Absol, and 2 Pichu!! I don't really know how =O -------------------- |

I dunno how much help i'm going to be as a newbie myself but I can help you with what I can and what I've learned by just randomly clicking on things.
On GPX hatching eggs are judged by how many people click on your eggs. To get said people to do so there is a pokeball in the upper left corner to get completely random people you must click the center of it. Some may click back and others may not. Now for the getting anywhere part. May I ask where you've been trying to go? If i know where you're trying to get to it might help me in trying to help you. I'm sorry if none of this makes sense and I will try and explain myself better if need be. -------------------- You'll pay dearly Clayman for hurting my friend

Eggs hatch based on who clicks your eggs. The best way to get clicks is to click other's pokemon and being active and online. Personally, when I'm clicking eggs, I usually go by my friend list first, then just by who is online. A lot of people will also click back - meaning when you click their pokemon or eggs, they will click your eggs back.
The easiest way to click is to go to the user's list and filter by any of these: online users, palpad users, etc. Then you'll use the berry feeder. You can choose how many pokemon and/or eggs you open in the berry feeder. Certain pokemon have a preference for certain berries (which was super hard for me to learn at first xD) and eggs just need clicks. Edit: Also, the easiest way to browse the game is the tabs on the left hand side. Main is your party page. Lab gets you eggs, which are random. Shelter eggs you can see, as they are donated by users. There is also the safari page (second tab on the shelter page) which is pokemon others have released into the wild. Explore is the explorations page, where you can go on an adventure, so to speak, where you have to do tasks (like getting certain pokemon and leveling them). You get a prize at the end. Explorations might be a bit hard for you if you just started, so I would recommend filling your pokedex for now, by hatching eggs, and making friends! Lol, at first I didn't even know where I was trying to go xD I figured out using the user's page to find people's eggs and stuff to click, so I've been using that a lot ^^ I'm still sorta figuring out how I can get more Shelter grabs in a day, but I guess I need like 15k for shelter passes... -------------------- |

I sorta figured out the Users list, that's super-handy! I guess that's the thing they're talking about using for mass-clicking? I've been using it a ton! I even managed the Over 9000 achievement already! I'm having fun just picking eggs to hatch from the Shelter and the Lab, and I think my goal right now is to save up enough points to buy all 5 Shelter Passes xDDD Cause that's what, an extra 4 grabs per day per pass? So like 20? Plus the 6 you get automatically each day...and any you earn from Interactions ^^ I just wish shelter grabs would roll over! I didn't manage to get on until after the rollover today, so I missed the 14 grabs I'd earned yesterday T__T OH! The other thing I was going to ask about was does it make a difference WHEN you level a Pokemon? Like if I have a Cubone that can evolve after level 28, will it make any difference if I choose to wait and evolve it at level 50? -------------------- |

Oh hey, another Caedon buddy! (Who are you on Caedon?) I'm also jealous of Sun/Moon players - (and actually anything Gen 4 and onwards, since I've never had any of the DS systems) I'd love to be able to get an Alolan Vulpix xD I've sorta figured out enough that I think I can manage to do my Pokedex? I'm probably not gonna try and go for total completion, I'm mostly worked about Gen 1-3, haha. There's lots of friendly people around to help out, too! -------------------- |

I'm not very active on caedon...mostly just hang around to talk to my good friend who is an artist there. On Cae I go by "orangecupcakes" haha. SO far this site is pretty addicting. I'm hoping to get a nice pokedex haha but it seems there's not enough of my first gen favorites readily available. I will hunt for them :P |

I've been able to pull a pretty decent haul from the Shelter ^^ Only ones that are gonna be difficult are legendaries, I think, cause I've already got most of the rarer ones like Scyther, Pinsir, Electabuzz, Snorlax, Khangaskhan xDDD I'm actually almost having a harder time with the more common ones because I'm reluctant to waste shelter grabs on Pidgey or Weedle eggs xDDD -------------------- |

I'm very much a huge newbie myself. I found this site through GaiaOnline. O:
I'm starting to slowly understand it. Hatching eggs happens thru people's interactions. Leveling is done thru the PokeWalker and Battles. Exploration missions are done by following what the text says underneath the story. If you need help, or have found something out I have not yet. Please please share share share!! |
