Team RAWR!

Hey guys. I know this won't really change things much, but I just thought it'd be nice if you could change Burmy's form depending on its location?

Say, change to Grass form when it's in the party, Ground form when it's in the Underground, and Steel form when it's in a 'building' like the Battle Subway or VS Seeker place?

I know you can already hatch them in their respective forms, and this would make no real difference, but I kinda like the idea?

Totally...useless

This would actually be a very huge difference, since at the moment, you need to hatch a shiny female burmy of all the types to complete the shiny dex for all the wormadams, and just a shiny of all the types to get all the burmies shiny in your dex. If you could change the forms, you would have a much easier time getting those shine entries, especially for wormadam.

I agree with this 100%. Say you get a Shiny Burmy... then you could easily change it to every form possible, the you evolve it to Wormadam, the change it to all 3 forms again. Out of one Pokemon, you just got 6 Dex entries.

I'd just like to point out that the OP is only talking about Burmy changing forms -- Wormadam can't change forms in the game, so I really don't think this suggestion is trying to enable it to do so here. So since there's no devolution here, users would still need to get three shiny Burmy in order to get all of Wormadam's shiny forms.

Why is form changing shinies such a problem? That's what you can do with any other form changing pokemon too. Even novelties and legendaries.

well those novelties and legendarys are all still from the same egg the burmeys all have different eggs and are treated on GPX as different pokemon so youd be getting 3-6 pokemon form changing the one burmey where as normally you have to hatch one of each shiny to get all the entries

The same holds true for Deoxys, just so you know.

Also, because I like to look things up:

Ehh, I just thought it'd be a nice little quirk.

In the long run, it doesn't make a huge difference, cause you'll still need to get 4 shiny Burmy if you want all of the evolutions shiny (including Mothim).

I'm not turning it down or anything; it's actually a pretty creative way to incorporate that aspect of Burmy into GPX.
