Doesn't have to be the garage band next door, can be somewhat popular, but share some bands you like that are off the mainstream, off the radar!

My favorite band overall has to be I Fight Dragons. Geeky type stuff, chiptune mixed in with alternative rock.

Alright, in all seriousness, my absolute favorite obscure band HAS to be Vale of Pnath. They're all so unfairly talented, and they don't get nearly enough recognition that they deserve.

I like Kimya Dawson, she made some music for the Juno movie. Another obscure choice would be The Dead South, a folk/old-country band.
